I know on the show they had Julie being the smartest one, but I suppose Lara Jill Miller is the smartest in real life given the fact that she became a lawyer. They always had Samantha being naive and somewhat dumb. One of my favorite episodes is "Katie the Cheat". During the scene when they are all sitting around the table and the Chief is predicting that Katie will be a doctor or a lawyer, I always think that little did he know that "Samantha" would indeed become an attorney. I'm sure the Chief would be mighty proud of his on-screen daughter. It's too bad that Dolph Sweet didn't live to see Lara become a lawyer. I'm sure Nell was very proud of her, especially since they were so close. Has anyone ever heard when Lara decided to go to law school? Was she always interested in law, or did she develop the interest while in college?

I know that Nell was very proud of Lara for going to law school and becoming an attorney. She was an insurance litigator. I'm not sure when she decided to go to law school. She double majored in Politics and French, so it's possible that she decided to go to law school while in college. It is too bad that Dolph Sweet did not live to see Lara become a lawyer. There's no doubt that he would have been proud of his on-screen daughter!
