Suzanne Somers got a lot of the press (and she was hot, too), but BernNadette was there before her. I don't believe she was given a whole lot of opportunity to grow in that role. Besides her fantastic looks, she could act, too.

I'll agree with you that she didn't get many good parts as Thelma. She was always falling in and out of love. That was about it.

She has also aged very well over the years. I find it hard to believe that she's in her 50s now...she doesn't look much more than 40!! :D

It is true, for the most part, that black people age extradorinally well. The fact that Esther Rolle and Isabel Sanford were about 20 years older than their tv husbands was really something.

I had well Ok i still have a crush on Thelma Evans (BernNadette Stanis) and Wilona wasn't bad looking either.

Did you know she (Wilona) sang the theme song for The Jeffersons ??

BernNadett Stanis is going to be at the Hollywood Collectors show in Burbank Ca. on October 6 and 7. I'm going to go it should be great.
