first off I loved the way David Chase worked it with the guys coming in the restaurant and tony looks at them a second then continues whats he's doing with Carmella & AJ seated there with him then right when everybodythinks tony gets whacked it fades to black leaving us all wondering and scratching our heads and definitely wondering if this was the very last sopranos episode ever.

In my opinion I think David Chase will bring the sopranos back
in a big 2 hour movie where all the many unsolved storylines are brought to an end like Tony Soprano fate, Paulie's fate, and alot of other storylines that werent finished. With a movie everybody makes alot more money also

Not likely.

Just reading on Yahoo this morning that both HBC and Chase are hinting that Tony WAS whacked on the last show - that "you don't hear it coming".

I'm just left wondering if it was only Tony whacked or did the guy take out the entire family at the table (maybe minus Meadow - she just saw her entire family killed).

A movie might happen down the line, but I seriously doubt it.

I think a movie will happen eventually. David Chase will get creative and want to bring his characters back to life. Of course, the fact that it's worth a gazillion dollars to him might come into play.

The more I think about the ending, the more I like it. It's got people talking, that's for sure. People can speculate all they want about Tony being killed or not, but the fact is, the last shot the viewers saw, he was alive. I choose to believe he's alive. ;)

I heard that there is a sopranos book that says in the end Tony and his family dont get killed but go into a witness protectioin program after Tony testifies against the other mobsters

I found this online. This guy really put a lot of thought into that final scene, analyzed the clues, dissected it frame by frame. Some of it makes sense...some of it, not so much. I found it an interesting read anyway.

I subscribe to the theory that Tony Soprano was shot. I think we were seeing things from his point of view, hence the screen going totally blank,

Either that, or we just saw the first few minutes of the opening scene of the movie Chase will eventually make. ;)

I'd much rather think he's alive though, so I'll happily entertain all the other scenarios! :D

BTW I accidenally just posted another thread on this ending but I have a question here incase you didn't read my thread: Did anyone else notice there were 2 Tony Sopranos? The first Tony Soprano walked into the restaurant wearing a leather jacket or something and he sees himself sitting at the table and the Tony Soprano already at the tables wearing something else... That alone makes me believe that Tony died awhile ago and we didn't see it, etc...
