You could harken back to either the 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s....or make it fun. But it could be related to T.V actor on a show...hell, you could voice your own opinion. Make it your own opinion...

i'd opt for michael j fox. he was in a hit US sitcom 'family ties', made millions by starring in the back to the future trilogy, as well as other films such as teen wolf, the secret of my success, the hard way to name. of course he made his sitcom comeback by starring in spin city... and then suddenly and as unfortunate as it is, he had parkinsons and as a result he had to quit the show.

but michael j fox was most certainly one of the original teen idols of the 80s

Probably the first of the 80s was "Chachi" (gone blank on his name at the moment). Since it was carried over from Happy Days he would have been about the hottest early on in the 80s.

In the 70's it would be a toss-up between David and Shaun Cassidy (David early on, and Shaun at the end of the decade). Good gene pool that family! ;)

Chachi's last name was Arcola.

Somewhere in the early 80s(1981-82), those denim jackets and tight denim jeans that Scott Baio wore after Ron Howard left were becoming very popular around that time. I sort of remember guys wearing those type of clothing, except the bandana tied around the thigh. But that style was in...I remember those type of clothing then. I also remember the early Chachi look also was brought back in the 80s(mid 80s)....the early army look, the muscle shirt look, and others. While Michael Jackson invented floods, prom suits, the robot, moonwalk, the single gloved hand, jackets with fake gold plaids and zippers, and penny loafers, Scott invented the boy next door hunk look.

 Me too - full page pics ripped out of Tiger Beat and Sixteen mags all over my walls. I had that big "4 page" foldout one of David Cassidy (wearing that "sexy" shell necklace) over my bed. Only thing was that the eyes followed you so I'd get dressed in the bathroom!

I remember Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garret both hitting it pretty big in the late 70's. The two Coreys, Haim and Feldman, were pretty big in the 80's until dissipation set in.

Thank goodness you didn't mention Beaver(Jerry Mathers) and Wally(Tony Dow) Cleaver..

Though the scariest thing is that Jerry Mathers was like my father a bit back then....

I forgot about Donny Osmond! I was thinking TV. If I added another musician it would have been Paul McCartney in the 60's. His pictures were all over Tiger Beat when I was a young kid.

How about Duran Duran and Michael Jackson? Both were big in the 80s...though Michael was the longest in both the 70s and 80s.

It is kind of ironic as to how big David Cassidy and his brother was. He was bigger than life itself in the 70s...crazy... Same with Leif Garrett...you forgotten how big they were then.

I have to pick Michael J. Fox too, and Scott Baio () and Kirk Cameron after that. There's no denying how popular they all became back in the 1980s.

I have the first season of Growing Pains...damn, Kirk and my sister look so alike. The funniest thing is that back in 1992, my sister had the curly Kirk hairstyle......I said, "My God, that hairstyle was so popular on the girls." I am not kidding...hers was a like a mini curly mullet. I must admit, I did have the Scott Baio hairdo circa 1981-82 hairstyle....what was I thinking?

He was no way the original, but for the 70s I'd like to give a little mention to Andy Gibb for his great music.

Heath Ledger and Andy Gibb looked so much alike. They almost look identical....love the duet with Olivia, though.

I know that Tony Danza was not a teen, but he was pretty popular on Who's the Boss?

I liked Michael J. Fox and Scott Baio the most in the 80s I think.
Ricky Schroder was also an original teen idol in the 80s.

Rick Shrodder reminds me so much of sister, it's scary. When he was young and precious in The Champ and the early years of Silver Spoons, he sort of resembled my sister a lot...weird...
