I'll-have-to-look-for-them.
dawsongirl 12-04-2001, 04:19 PM How interested would you be in some episodes of Route 66 recorded off Nick-at-Nite? Promos are all there. One I know comes from when Nickelodeon had Nick air as a special "Nick-at-Nite on Nickelodeon." Another episode comes from the first anniversary; another from when Rte. 66 was leaving Nick. Anyway, if you want more details, LMK.
ClassicTVHits 12-06-2001, 06:46 PM Hi Dawson Girl,
I would be quite interested. What is the quality of the tapes? and what would you charge per tape / including shipping?
I have a bunch of Dennis the Meance that I got off the very early days of Nick at Night from the summer of 85. Including the commericals, one was advertising the then-new movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure and the album TV's Greatest Hits ( no CD yet ).
There is not much in the way of commericals then as Nickelodeon was until then recently a commerical free channel. Promos too for both The Nick@Nite movie and Donna Reed and of course Route 66.
In 1985 Nick at Nite would go on the air at 8PM
When Nickelodeon whould become Nick at Nite they at 8 they would feature the word "Nickelodeon" being blown up like a balloon then it was burst with the words Nick@Nite pop onto the screen.
Then you would see a camp bus rolling across the screen with pictures of the stars seated inside ( Donna Reed, Carl Betz, her kids, the Mitchells, Jay North, and Mr. Wilson - later Mr. Ed was featured). Then Nick@Nite would begin to air Dennis the Meance.
For some reason Nick called Nick@Nite in its early days "Camp Nickelodeon ".
If anyone is interested I can make copies of it, Quality is pretty good for stuff that was taped nearly 17 years ago, now I DO feel old.
interested?

The quality on some episodes is better than others. I got mine as copies, so yours would be slightly worse than mine. A bit grainy, blurry; whatever you'd expect from a tape that's over 15 years old.
Charge? Hmm. How about $4 priority shipping and $6 for the rest (tapes, time, etc). Makes it an even 10.
I get out of school for the holiday on the 19th, so I could do it then.
