View Full Version : Possible subtle dirty reference in Cyrano De Tripper?
Hers&Hers&His 06-13-2007, 02:44 AM I was just watching Cyrano De Tripper which i've seen like a dozen times, but I noticed something weird this time. If you have the DVD, go to about 5 minutes and 30 seconds into the episode. Mr. Roper is catching on to Jack not being gay after seeing him kiss Chrissy, and he says to Helen:
"What about the time he took out my niece? I bet he tried something that night". When he says that second line, look at the hand motion he makes with his left hand.
I can't believe I never noticed this before, maybe I just have a dirty mind but, the hand motion Mr. Roper makes certainly corresponds with what he was alluding to...
Ireneparalegal 06-13-2007, 10:08 PM What is the hand motion? Like grabbing her breast?

What the hell are you talking about? At 5:30 into the ep there is no Mr. Roper at all, the TRIO are in their apt. Thank you for wasting my time and having me put the DVD in to see nothing.

He or she must have DREAMED they saw this because I put the DVD in and didn't see sh*T-lol

I could see why you'd think that but to me it just seemed like he was making a normal hand motion.

I want to know too.
Skywalker 06-13-2007, 10:50 PM What hand Motion was he making
He made a fist and moved it up and down real fast for a second. I thought it was a normal hand motion. I hardly ever notice stuff like that since actors and actresses tend to do that all the time when they're talking.

Is it in the beginning, middle or end of the ep?
Skywalker 06-13-2007, 10:57 PM Is it in the beginning, middle or end of the ep?
At the beginning, around the 5:30 minute mark.
TVFactFan 06-13-2007, 11:00 PM At the beginning, around the 5:30 minute mark.
THERE IS NO MR> ROPER at the 5 min mark. Forget it
Skywalker 06-13-2007, 11:08 PM THERE IS NO MR> ROPER at the 5 min mark. Forget it
You must have the wrong episode or something cause theres a 2 minute scene at the Roper's apartment from 4:44-6:44 and Roper makes the hand motion at approximately 5:35 into the episode.
TVFactFan 06-13-2007, 11:08 PM Ok just saw what you were talking about and this thread needs to be deleted
TV_on_the_Porch 06-13-2007, 11:40 PM Half the thread could be deleted anyway....
Ireneparalegal 06-14-2007, 12:16 AM Half the thread could be deleted anyway....

TVFactFan 06-14-2007, 01:05 AM Which half?
If you look at that clip u would see that ALL of this thread need to be deeted-lol
Subspace 06-16-2007, 01:34 AM I'm somewhat confused. I don't think Stanley Roper (Norman Fell) is guilty of making an obscene hand gesture in Cyrano de Tripper; but I think it was a legitimate topic for discussion.
