I think we all do at different times and towards different things in our lives. That's one of the reasons it made the show so popular. It pointed out the "ugly" sides of ourselves. ;)

Mine too, although he wasn't as racist (thankfully) but still "old school". More than that, my dad looked a lot like Arch. And my mom looked like "Maude". They both used to get teased all the time about it.

I would not call Archie ugly. He was a guy protecting his family. He was protecting his property value. He was protecting his job.
