MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE- THE COMPLETE SERIES ONE AND TWO, a total of twelve episodes, will be released this summer, on August 21st in a collectable 2-disc set. The set streets for 29.98. This show was the inspiration for the classic American series THREE'S COMPANY, and coincidentally, both of THREE'S COMPANY's spin-offs were based on MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE's spinoffs. The only difference being English accents and more successful runs (GEORGE AND MILDRED ran longer than MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE did in the UK). Another similarity I noticed between the British show and our beloved 3's Co. is that the names of the Ropers in the American unaired pilots are George and Mildred. And yes, the last name of the nosey landlord and his wife was Roper in MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE and GEORGE AND MILDRED. The other spinoff of the UK series, the inspiration for THREE'S A CROWD, was called ROBIN'S NEST. In this series (MATH), Chrissy, Jo, and Robin (the man about the house) are the strictly-platonic roommates that share a London flat together.

No extras have been specified yet, but the cover art is attached in the TSoD news story (which I am not particularly fond of).
