Happy Weekend Everyone! What's going on?

Here I am feeling so tired. I woke up at 4:00 a.m. because my son woke me up. I couldn't get back to sleep. I had to take my daughter to work at 6 a.m. So, here I am just trying to get some energy (yeah, on the computer LOL) to get up and do some stuff around the house.

We already ate dinner.

How are you Janice?

I can't believe this. My doctor ordered two MRIs for me this week. I had one for my neck on Wednesday. No picnic there. Today was the MRI for my back. I was getting registered, and she said this is for your lumbar spine (lower back), and I told her that I don't have lower back pain. My pain is in the middle of my back, up into my shoulders.

It turns out there was a mixup with what was ordered. The MRI tech came out and explained that she couldn't scan my middle back (thorasic) because doctor's orders are just like a prescription. Said I'd have a mess on my hands with my insurance company, yada yada. They felt very bad.

Thing was, I was mentally geared for it. It was at 6:15, so all day it was on my mind, all week actually....then to just come home. My doctor will fax over the right order on Monday, and I'll most likely be having it on Tuesday or Wednesday, but still, a pain. Oh well, bigger things to worry about I guess, lol.

I'm sorry to hear you're so tired Irene. When I'm tired, I feel half nuts, lol. Lack of sleep really affects my state of mind. When I'm well rested, I feel more optimistic about everything, even healthier.

OMG Janice!!! Are you serious???? What a bitch that was for you to prepare yourself for an MRI only to have to have it rescheduled because of the DOCTOR'S ERROR!

Good thing you caught that error. I am sorry that happened. What a bummer.

Well, at least you got the one for your neck out of the way. One down, one to go. Look at it that way. If I was in an MRI right now, I'd be snoozing away...I am so tired!

I need a cocktail!

Hey everybody! It's TJL. Saggitarius.

It's been a rather uneventful week. I've been laying low saving my energy (and money) for the weekend.

Tomorrow night we're having a big going away party for a friend who is moving to California. That should be fun.

Sunday me and the gang are heading up to the Bronx to catch a Hurling match at Gaelic Park. What's Hurling? It's an ancient Irish/Celtic sport that's kind of like field hockey. There are a few sports clubs in the New york area that play this game, and we though it would be an interesting way to learn something new..

And to drink on a Sunday afternoon of course.

;)

Happy Weekend :) Janice, I hope you are feeling better soon. That really is a bummer with the MRIs today. Irene, I hope you are able to get some rest.
I can't really function well when I'm really tired.

This weekend will be about going to bed early, getting lots of rest
and saying goodbye to The Sopranos.

How sweet of you. Thank you. I will try and get to bed early today since I need to get up at 6:00 a.m. again tomorrow. ARRRRGGGHHHH...I hate when my daughter has to go to work that early. *yawning*

I started my new job at CBS and I love it. I am working this Sunday again. Tomorrow is my oldest daughter's dance recital. She has really become quite the preformer. I swear, she will end up on TV or the Movies.

Janice, that is horrible about the mixup. Those things you definitely have to be mentally prepared for. I guess in a way it was good that they said lower back, so you didn't go through with it and find out after you have to do it all over again. 1 MRI is bad enough, but two?!? Never mind three if they went ahead with it.

This weekend I'm going to be doing fun stuff like the laundry, pay some bills, clean the house and do some grocery shopping. Well, I hope everyone else has a good weekend. ;)

Happy weekend all! :) We just got through a naaaasty storm! It was hot and sunny and muggy all day long. Then out of nowhere it starts lightening. Then the thunder starts. Then rain started coming down hard and then BOOM hail comes down really hard! All of a sudden, the power went out! Finally it slowed down and the power came back on so I can get back online! :D

Our power went out late last week. The first time in something like eight years.

I just slept all evening/night on Friday! My massive migraine headache didn't allow me to have fun or stay up or even go anywhere. I had planned on going out swing dancing, but I couldn't do it. Argh.

Today is Saturday morning, so I will call my sister to see if the Mary Kay breakfast thingy is still on for this morning. She invited me to it a couple of days ago, but I have not heard from her lately. If so, then I will go to that. If not, then I will just clean up at home. I then work for five hours later today. Not sure about the evening. I am in the mood to go out to a coffee house and try to mingle with other people. Ha! Good luck with this. I never have much luck with this.... Anyway....

Oh, yeah, and I did watch Kickin' it Old Skool yesterday after work. It was interesting.

I got up early this morning to go for a bike ride. I put on my riding gear (yes Marlene, I had on my bike shorts) had a sensible breakfast of yogurt and Special K, performed my usual 50 point safety inspection on my bike (yu can never have enough safety inspections) and headed out.

I rode three blocks to the West Side Highway where the greenway is...

and it starts raining.

So I came back home. Don't really feel like getting wet and dirty this morning.

Oh well, ten minutes of exercise is better than nothing at all.

Awww...thanks, Mike! I missed SO as well on Friday night. I didn't get to go to a coffeehouse after work. I picked up my mom from home and took her to work because we had strong winds, and it was raining/gray/thundering/lightening. I became lazy to go out with such strong weather, so I just stayed in. I did get to work some more on my scrapbook which I had not touched since around December/January. So, I feel accomplished! :D

As for today, my mom and I had plans to go to Chimayo, New Mexico (about 63 miles north of where I live), but I have not heard from my mom. So, I think those plans have diminished. Oh, well....I needed to change my oil in my car, and I'd rather do a road trip after the oil has been changed. I am paranoid about something going wrong with my car.

We were having a really great time here on Friday night. You can check it out on the "Paris Hilton Ordered Back To Jail" thread. Monika and I were making fun of all those early 90's teen musical acts like New Kids On the Block and Nelsen and it was soooo funny. I was laughing harder then I had in a long time.

I'm sorry that you didn't get to go to the coffee house. I'm sure you would have had a great time.:) Well, there is always next Saturday night. It is always best to do a road trip after the oil has been changed. When you go on a long trip by car it is always best to change the oil before hand. I actually dislike road trips. I hate having to be in a car for long periods at a time.

hi everyone!

well, my week has ended on a high- i finished university but i also have to find work. the graduation ceremony takes place in november, a month before xmas this year. work-wise for the moment i am just looking for a job just so i can earn enough money and move out of my parents house and for me to get my own place to live. but long-term i want to pursue a career in TV as a writer or producer. even if it means relocating to the US and get some additional training, then so be it

I'm counting the hours until The Sopranos series finale tonight. It feels like Christmas Eve, lol. I can't recall ever being this anxious over a tv show. The suspense is killing me.

My weekend?

I left for the weekend to go to a friend's house. That's where I've been the whole weekend. I'm there a lot (about 4 out of 7 days in a week, actually), so it was no different this weekend. That was about it, really... Nice, restful weekend at his place. :)

Sorry I'm late with this, but I wasn't home for the weekend. I went camping from Friday, to Monday with my friend Donna and a bunch of her friends, and had a great and relaxing time. After the week I had, and the fight and screaming match I got into with this ******* who said some horrble things about Donna, this camping trip came at just the right time. From the police being called, and a bunch of other **** I've been dealing with, it was the perfect time to just refresh, and get away from everything. I'm looking forward to doing it again real soon!! :D
