NY Post actually give it a OK review

It got a really bad review in some magazine. Had to be either Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide, since those are the only ones I read.

I saw a review in TV Guide that called it worse than a rehersal. And of course TBS has ordered 100+ episodes.

But this show did very well during last year's test run, including in Atlanta on WTBS 17.

The show is a complete mess. That crabby father gets on my nerves the most. I don't understand why they are calling this the debut of the show when they showed several episodes last summer. When it left the schedule suddenly I was relieved, thinking that it had been cancelled.

I seen an episode when they test ran it on WB or UPN last year, it looked like a badly rehearsed play. Really bad stuff.

Don't anyone be FOOLED by the Huge Ratings that HOUSE OF SHAME pulled in for TBS because it was the PREMEIRE EPISODE

I watched this and it's nothing more than a Chitlin Circuit play made into a sitcom. I don't know what TBS was thinking when they ordered 100 episodes of this, because this show is train wreck.

I love cheap looking sitcoms with bad acting. Hence my love for "Saved by the Bell," "Silver Spoons," and "Small Wonder."

Btw, Did anyone notice how the all of the older cast members are extremely overweight?

Well, I still have faith in my brother Tyler Perry.

I love the show

This was discussed on the "Tom Joyner Radio Show" last week. Tyler Perry was on the show and it was told to him by the Tom Joyner and Sybil Wilkes, another radio personality that others thought that Allen Payne did not have much to do during the first episode and that there were not a lot of funny moments on the show. Tyler said that the uncle and Madea were setting up the storyline for the show which is why the uncle had a lot of airtime. Allen Payne will be getting more airtime as time goes along.

He also said that the show will have more comical moments as well.

He also says that he is in production for another sitcom based on the play "Meet The Browns". The title of the new show is "Meet the Browns". LOL. I am gonna give Tyler Perry a chance. He says that there are over 40 eps that have been taped they have been taping three times a week.

Here's to the success of the show.

To me, Saved by the Bell does not fall into that category. Silver Spoons the later years would fall into the category to me and Small Wonder for sure.

In one my film classes, it was said that the box office attendance is slowing declining due to easy access of movies. Pretty soon people will be able to watch new releases in the privacy in their own homes rather than going to theateres.

That's because movie tickets are so damn high, plus the drinks and snacks. You can easily spend over a $100 at the movies, Epecially if you're taking your kids.

We discussed that matter about the movies and snacks in class. They play a role. People figure that technology can help save money to a degree. The onlu thing that will be missed is the thrill and excitement of going to a theater with others for a showing of a film and being able to laugh with other strangers in a theater.

It's just not my cup of tea. I watched it again this week and it was alright but nothing special. I am glad their is excitement over a sitcom though. It gives me hope for others.

To each his or her own. I am glad that I did like it. I would love to see move of Madea in the show. Tyler could at least do ten more episodes out of the one hundred. I like this project. I want them to improve more on the laugh track.

The whole episode was good to me, probably the best so fat. The episode wasn't depressing and it didn't deal with his crackhead wife, she wasn't in the episode at all. the only person who really gets on my nerves is the fat white guy, he just doesn't fit in.

It ok, nothing that I would buy on DVD, I hope it gets better. They need to get rid of that laugh track and get in a real audience.

The show has been resurrected since about 2020. My problem with the show from the first season if it’s resurrection is that it moved extremely slow and had pointless dialogue. Do you know that I took two episodes, one particular episode and then the episode that followed it did an edit and condensed it down to just 1/2 hour episode? I removed a lotta useless dialogue. Anyway, I have not watched the second season as of yet because some of the characters are missing and from what I hear Mr. Davis, the lead male actor on the show has only appeared in 1/2 of the season. The actress who plays the mother to Allen Payne‘s character hasn’t appeared at all on the second season and I’m hearing something about an airplane accident that she might have been in on the show, not the actress herself. We will see how season three goes. I may watch just to check it out.

To be honest, I don’t like this “revival” or whatever you call it. It seems so damn boring to me. Now Malik has this girlfriend, Lisa, who he apparently got pregnant, and now she’s living in C.J. and Janine’s house. Curtis was missing for almost ten episodes, with Floyd being in most of the episodes he didn’t appear in. I like Floyd, but he can only be shown so many times before I get tired of him. No Claretha, Curtis and Ella’s neighbor, I wonder what happened to her. But overall, I really don’t care for this new run of the show. They should’ve left well enough alone.

Also, I think the debut episode was great. Like I said, Madea’s funny and I wish she should’ve appeared more often. And I didn’t find nothing wrong with Curtis’s acting.
