Shut Up And Talk

Starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Julie Newman, a well-known and semi-popular radio talk show personality living in Detriot, Michigan. Julie works for MJAK radio station, where she hosts her own radio morning talk show, in which she talks freely about everyday issues and topics to come to her mind or the minds of callers. Julie's talk show's producer, Elaine Breslin (Brenda Strong) is her "boss" and confidente/friend at work. Elaine is a very headstrong, determined, and sometimes stubborn person who loves her job. The station manager is the very contraversial, male chauvinistic, and cyncial Bobby Drexler (Ted Danson). In college, Bobby and Julie were a couple who were serious enough and was about to walk down the aisle until he cheated on her with her sister, Jill Tanner (Lauren Lane). Julie and Jill didn't speak to each other for a good ten years, due to Jill interferring in Julie and Bobby's relationship. But after the death of their father, the two sisters put the past behind them and grew closer now. Julie is still single and is enjoying her bachelorette lifestyle--yet still longs to get married and have a family of her own someday. Jill has put her past behind her and has settled down and gotten married to Jack Tanner (Bryan Cranston), a loving, supportive husband, father of two, and accountant. Jack and Jill have two children together: Nicholas, who's 8, and Brittany, who's 11.
