Oh ok, I always thought that the tips were their own.

There was an episode a few weeks ago where Vera had divided the tips into 3 piles, then put 2 back in the jar, and she took the other pile (I think that's the one where she put her purse in the fridge...because that's the last place a robber would look for a purse ;) )

It's just amazing that FLO was the only one with drive and ambition-lol The fact that they had to share tips and was paid nothing an hour, Alice and Vera never made any attempt to improve their life financially. Just pitiful-lol

Well, she came in with Jolene, and they were gonna give their big news to Mel (who hadn't told them yet he was selling the diner. I think he had only told Henry at that point)...one of those "last episode moments" where everything happens just at the perfect time so they can end the series ;)
