I wish TBS Would get Diff'rent Strokes

I never knew this about TBS, they have a local version and a national version - why? It would be great if some station would air "Facts of Life" :D

Here are the differences between the National and Atlanta versions-

Weekdays:
The Atlanta version has CNN Headline News airing at 6 AM in place of
an episode of The Cosby Show.
Another episode of The Cosby Show and the three episodes of Diff'rent
Strokes replace Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and Home Improvement on the
Atlanta version.

Saturdays:
Educational and local programs replace the 8 AM movie on the Atlanta
version.
On the Atlanta version, a different movie airs at 11:30 AM than on the
National version.

I am not sure if this is still on but on Saturday's WTBS 17 Aired The Adventures of Captain Planet at 6:00 am Easten Time 5:00 am Central Tim

Not on weekdays, but Captain Planet does air on WTBS 17 Saturday
mornings at 8 AM.

soo excited when i heard this cant wait for season 3
ive seen season 1 and 2 so much with TNN a few years ago and the dvd sets
hope it lasts at least throughout the summer

Canada--so that's why its strange that the cable box would get an Atlanta local and not the regular national channel.

I wish other cities would get to see Diff'rent Strokes.

for example Vancouver is western time
but for toronto, ottawa, montreal and places close it would be eastern time

I wish COX Cable would get WTBS-17 instead of TBS

Diff'rent Strokes not next week but week after will be reduced to one episode at 2:30 and at 3 and 30 will be Still Standing on WTBS-17, at least. That is according to tbs17's website. Considering i've waited 5 years its an improvement but obviously 3 a day is good cuz it would get to seasons 3, 4, 5much quicker

I remember WTBS 17 as a child and WGN 9. They were both on my cable lineups. Darn the fact that they had to become separate superstation entities. LOL. However, the WTBS schedule is not much different from the superstation as with WGN there are some great differences.

How come all the good show's air on WTBS 17

I also remember WTBS back when it was WCTG from Atlanta. It showed Space Giants, Spectreman, and Speed Racer. We were living in Hawaii, and here I was seeing all these local Atlanta commercials. So I am quite surprised that there's a local and a national WTBS. Surely this hasn't always been the case, I wonder when they started doing that? And I don't suppose it would do any good to ask why.

Where I live in Canada, Diff'rent Strokes is on at 3-4 p.m. Atlantic Time, not Eastern Time. I enjoy watching Diff'rent Strokes on TBS because I haven't seen any episode past season 2 since 1987, that was when CBC ran reruns of Diff'rent Strokes with reruns of The Facts Of Life following weekdays after school.

why is it that the one show people would actually want to watch on TBS only airs in Atlanta? LOL... Friends, Seinfeld, Raymond, Sex And The City, Cosby Show, Family Guy and all the other shows air on other networks as well and are either completed on DVD or a lot further in than DS.

We got really lucky with WPCH. I feel bad for people stuck with national TBS who want more variety.

I noticed it too, we still get Friends and Sex and the City on another local station, WATL. And sometimes they air Fresh Prince too. This means that we have Friends and SaTC on THREE stations, and FP on up to FOUR.

people from Atlanta who are getting Diff'rent Strokes. Can you tape them for me, give you $4 per episode, let me know thanks.

Diff'rent Strokes appears to be on at 5AM, and WTBS, at least the one I'm getting, is now Peachtree TV.

Canada has the same time zones as the US, except they have an extra one for Newfoundland.
