No, Paula, unfortunately I don't plan on it. Would be wonderful--the 2 trips Lucky and I made (it's been 5 years ago OMG!) were fabulous! But....finances and family situations right now will prevent me from getting back to NYC for a looong time, I am afraid! When things settle down (maybe in a couple of years), I would love to take my girls to see the city....

I know how much it meant to Laz for you to make the trips to see him. Has it been 5 years! I cannot wait until you can show your girls the city. I cannot wait until they meet your dear friend Laz. He is one that we hold with much pride in our hearts. I know of no other person that works so hard to keep the legacy of Freddie fresh in our minds and in our heart. Laz holds his fans deep in his heart and he is grateful for our support, even if we cannot make it to his shows, we show our support for him. He is as proud of us as we are of him.

I concur with mi hermana, Mariposa. We had a blast coming up and seeing Laz, and I enjoyed showing Mariposa my old stomping ground.. (I may be a WV country gal now, but I originally was a NYC girl! LOL) I also enjoyed meeting our good amiga Jenny Lee and her hubby. What a blast we had. I still remember the conversation we had at the diner after Laz's first show. I would love to catch lightning in a bottle a second time, but alas, my life is very booked these days. I do wish mi amigo the best when he performs out in LA. By any means I can muster, I will try to see him when the show hits TV.

I don't know if you knew this already but my short film "REWIND" was accepted to 3 festivals this summer. It won Best Short at the 2007 HBO Latino Film Festival. I wrote all about it on my blog:

Ive been doing shows constantly in and around New York City. The Laugh Lounge, Comix, Laugh Factory. This sunday I'll be hosting America's Got Stand-Up at the Laugh Factory in Times Sqaure.

Also performing for our soilders at a US Army show In November.

Film/TV News:
The independant feature film I'm in called "Playing Doctor" has wrapped and is in post production. They are planning to submit it to major film festivals around the country next year.

I recently completed a feature length screenplay called "Bodega Central" but thats just a working titile lol. It's about a day in the life of a small grocery store on a street corner in the Bronx.

Side Note:

You would be surprised at the amount of times Freddie Prinze appears on a New York City Night. Often times Ill be wandering around the back of a comedy club and their he would be, a picture on the wall of Freddie. His picture is in many little clubs and lounges tucked away throughout the city. There is a portrait of him at the New York Comedy Club, His picture hangs in the main halls of the Improv in midtown. Just the other night I was at the Laugh Lounge downtown, feeling a bit nervous about my set, I look up and there is a great picture of Freddie in his red shirt performing on stage. Its really inspiring.

I know it is has been a month since you posted, but when I got on the boards this morning I realized it has been over a month since I was here. (10/6) :eek: OMG I don't know where the time went.... things have been sooooo busy with school this year. I remember the days when I couldn't go five minutes without checking the boards...
