Good for you Leonard!! Yay!! party: :bouncers I wore braces for 2 1/2 years. My teeth felt weird without braces, too, when I had mine taken off. You'll get used to it in no time!

It is such an awesome feeling getting those things off! I had the misfortune of having that awesome feeling once and getting the stupid things back on a few years later. I've had mine for about a total of 5 1/2 years, but I am glad to say that I am finally getting them off for good on June 20th!! I can't wait. It's been so long since I first had them off. Retainers suck but at least they're removable.

Congratulations! I'm lucky enough to never have had braces, and funnily enough, I'm one of the only people in my grade who have never needed them

Congratulations! Feels kind of wierd, huh? (I didn't have braces myself--and--I definitely needed them. Back in the day, it was a luxury and dental plans didn't cover orthodonture--only the rich could afford braces). I made sure my own son had them when he needed them, however.

Good for you! Make sure you brush and floss every day, as I am sure you already do. :)

Some people just have to get a second phase of braces. In my case though it was that my canines were coming in wrong. Instead of coming in downward they were going sideways, if that makes sense. One of them ended up straitening out on its own but the other one didn't so we had to wait for it to be visible in order to put a chain on it that connected to the braces and pulled it into place.
