Wasn't there an episode where the Chief was asking his daughters something about a tricycle? I used to watch this show all the time but haven't seen this episode in years. I've watched every episode from season 1 and 2 dvds and have not seen that episode so it must be in later seasons. What was the Chief asking about, and why were they so reluctant to answer him? Was he talking about something that happened in the past or present? Did they lose the tricycle or something? What were they afraid he would do to them?

That episode is from Season 4 entitled "Monkey See, Monkey Do." That was the episode where the Chief was upset about Katie moving into her girlfriend's apartment for a couple of months. Then, he upset the rest of the family with his rigidity and they all went to the apartment. When Katie returned to the house the Chief mentioned something about a stolen tricycle (the tricycle turned out to belong to Samantha when she was a little girl). Why he brought that subject up, I don't know. Perhaps it was an attempt to explain to his family that he was not the mean spirited guy he appeared to be, and that he was easier to talk to than everybody thought, if given the chance (that's just my guess).
