Great show obviously, but geez - what's with the ads that go on throughout the show? AARP, P.A.D., Erectile Disfunction, Avadart for enlarged prostates. I mean - how old do they think we are? They even run diabetes, Dexatrim, Dannon DanActive for digestive help and other health oriented things during the one hour block.

I have to say, I'm not young, but I'm not that old either. Are they trying to tell me something here? I'm getting a bit upset I have to say.

What gives?

EDIT: lets add Activia, Zantac, Boniva to the list too. And that's just during the last commercial break. JUST UNREAL!

Tell me about it!

I'm in the process of collecting the episodes off of ION onto DVD, and since I'm using DVD-RAM discs, my recorder luckily allows me to go back and edit out all those pesky ads, and for crud that I have absolutely no use for at this point. "Shorten Title" is what Panasonic calls it.

Nevertheless, I'm growing weary of them just in the course of zipping through when I edit them out.

I'm taping the episodes off ION too and those ads really annoy me. They are the same ads each time too.

The ads with that elderly Native American saying "Get Lakota" air about 15 seconds apart. I've noticed that after the commercial breaks, they seem to pick up the narration in mid-sentence.

At least they're not on-screen ads for those things, ha!
