Solomon, Brian Damage, Janice, Catlover (salt sister!), Annball and Madame X, in no particular order.

You, annball and Madame X have really livened up this board A LOT!!! Especially on the boards that had been quiet for a while.

I agree with everyone who said that this thread is a bad idea. Having a thread like this is very much like holding a popularity contest.

I don't like popularity contest threads like this one. All they do is hurt certain people's feelings. Thouse who aren't as popular as others get left out.

Anyone whose feelings are HURT from not getting the attention they think they desereve on a MESSAGE BOARD needs to seek PROFESSIONAL HELP!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but I certainly agree with you. I read any good thread on any board even if I am not familiar with a poster. To go around and just check a certain poster's threads is ok, but one can overlook an interesting topic that way. It's like saying I am going to read his/her topic because I know them well. Some posters are on here more often than others so that gives them an advantage of being "popular" One thing I notice on a lot of boards I go to, some posters respond to many of the same topics so it appears like someone is "following" the next poster. I have seen many good topics from little known posters get little or no responses. So I rest my case.

Yeah, I have noticed this behavior as well. This "following" seems quite annoying, indeed.

I guess I misunderstood the thread. I responded by putting names of the people that I see who make a lot of threads. I wasn't implying that only certain people's threads I read. In my eyes, Solomon and the others who I pointed out in my thread are the ones who are here on a daily basis and keep this place alive.

Whatever the topic matter is or what show I like, I will respond. It doesn't have to be someone in particular. If you know me, I will pretty much respond/post on a lot of threads here.

I'd say that I open and read threads I find interesting, regardless of who starts the thread or posts on it. If I read anyones' posts more often, it's just because they proportionately post more often.

swedeace

I'd say that I open and read threads I find interesting, regardless of who starts the thread or posts on it.
This is what I also do when I see certain threads. I first read the list of topics in the main page, and if it has an interesting or relatable title (something I would be interested in replying), then I will open them and read them. I then decide whether or not I want to put in my two cents or even want to share something from me. It does not matter who the person is who starts the thread.

On the other hand, I guess I could see where certain people tend to read/reply certain threads. It is because of the thread's content. Some of these threads originate from posters who post the usual thread topics. The "Post Pics of This or That" threads or the article threads or the sporty threads are not really not much interesting for me; therefore, I can see where those originating posters might feel like people such as me are not reading out of favoritism. It's not so much about anything against the person themselves. It is more like I usually have an idea of which people post what kind of threads, so I don't really open those threads because I don't have much to say about those pics or sports threads. So, it would be a complete waste for me to even post something. Other times, I have some free minutes to just glance over the list of topics, and I skim over to the most-interesting threads for me.

I also like relevantly-titled threads and will be more inclined to read them. To me, vague-titled threads such as "I need advice" or "What Would You Do?" turn me off because I have NO idea what kind of content or advice is being asked just by reading the title alone. This is especially if there is only huge paragraph that is not group into various separate paragraphs. It makes it much more difficult to follow through and read, so I get easily confused and feel lazy in reading it. If I read something more to that in the title that will help me decide what content is in that specific thread, then I decide whether or not I can be of assistance or help.
