Ok so state the sitcom and the point/season where it "jumped the shark"!!

-I Love Lucy jumped the shark in seasons 4&5 when they moved all over Europe, Cuba, etc. It seemed that the eps got boring and then the 6th season came and things picked up even after they moved from NYC to Conneticut.

I agree about the Europe episodes. That one where they biked through France or whatever was so dull. I think the Charles Boyer episode was about the only Europe one I liked. Besides the plane ride home.

well; the3 most obvious ones of course are MASH, HAPPY DAYS, & THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. MASH did it a number of times; first, when Henry and Trapper left, then when Frank left, when it became "THE ALAN ALDA SHOW" and they neglected to tell him it's a sitcom, when "Hot Lips" became "Margret", when she got that bleached-blond hair, when Radar left, when Klinger stopped dressing in drag and doing his crazy behavior.

HAPPY DAYS, when they started filming in front of a live audience and made it "The Fonzie show".

And "TAGS" well....black & white and Barney Fife, 'nuff said!!!!

Then there's when "Laverne & Shirley" when they moved to Calif.....and half the friggin town went with them!!!

"Leave it to Beaver", when Beaver became a teenager.

"All in the family" also more than once. First time was when Mike and Gloria moved out, second time when they moved to Calif.

"Mad about you" when they had a baby.

"Frasier" when Niles and Daphne got together.

caroline in the city- season 4, i didn't have a problem with caroline and richard as a couple but i felt they argued a bit too excessively and when randy came along in the latter part of the show, it had jumped the shark. it just wasn't the same as it was afterwards

Just like the great Aunt Vivian(Fresh Prince) and Harriett(Family Matters) switch. Weird!!

Home Improvement - When JTT leaves the show. Storylines just got boring.

The Jeffersons - when Bently came back after leaving the show

Boy Meets World - When Cory and Topanga get married

Family Matters - When they dropped the theme song. Every single storyline
was around Urkel, and things got strange.

The Cosby Show - When Denise brought home her new husband from Africa, also when Olivia came along

A Different World - When Dwayne and Whitley broke off their engagement. After that, every episode mentioned that.

Murphy Brown - First when Eldin left. I always wanted Murphy and Elding to get together, but that wasn't happening. Then when Miles left. He was the central character in the show, and then they brought in annoying-as-hell Kay

Who's the Boss - After they added Billy in Season 7. He left at the end of the season, but the show never really recovered...the last two seasons were just boring. Also, when Tony and Angela started actually dating. Kinda killed the purpose of the show, although there were a lot of good S8 eps.

Full House - After Michelle grew up and went from an annoying toddler to a bratty kid. Not that the show was ever that good anyway.

Three's Company - The last season.

Married with Children - Slowly climbed downhill in it's last 3 seasons.

Charmed - The addition of Billie, despite the fact that Kaley Cuoco = HOTT. Also, the whole "Lets pretend we're NORMAL PEOPLE!!!!!!!111111" storyline. The last season was just a mess in general.

Fresh Prince - After the first Vivian left the show lost some steam, but it was still watchable. It bounced back at the very end.

i honestly cannot think of anymore ...lol

Diffrent Strokes-"when Willis started wearing penny loafers in season 3"

 It should have been known from Day 1 of the show itself that Willis was a MJ fanatic. Just kidding. LOL! But if you look further into the series itself, he sort of morphs into a Michael Jackson wannabe.

My Three Sons: When Chip eloped with Polly.

That was my favourite part of the series! I loved Polly!

Now that I've been made to feel down, which suits this topic perfectly, here's my list.

Happy Days --- When Richie and Ralph left

Three's Company --- Terri the nurse.

All In The Family --- When Archie started acting nicer and was at least able to tolerate people that he couldn't stand before when he was bigoted

The Facts Of Life --- Pippa the Australian girl

Bewitched --- Adam is born (I liked the 2nd Darrin!)

MASH --- When the show got more serious

The Cosby Show --- Cosby fires Lisa Bonet and introduces Raven as Olivia. "That's So Dumb!"

Family Ties --- Nick!

Andy Griffith Show --- Barney leaves and later Howard Sprague becomes Mayberry County Clerk. He was very annoying!

Mork & Mindy --- The 2nd season (same with The Monkees)

My Three Sons --- Fergus McBain visits the Douglases

I Love Lucy --- The Ricardos move to Connecticut

Family Affair --- When Nancy Walker is hired as a maid to assist Mr French

Welcome Back Kotter --- Barbarino leaves

Married With Children --- The Bundys meet Seven

Desperate Housewives --- The 2nd season, although it's rebounded nicely in Year 3 and could perform a rare reverse jump next year, similar to shows like The Odd Couple. We'll see. It depends on whether Edie survives or not. She's my favourite!

Sabrina The Teenage Witch --- When she went to college and changed networks. On the plus side, she became friends with Punky Brewster!

Day One Shark Jumpers: Meaning the shows sucked from the first episode on:

Full House (Duh!), Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Family Guy, Growing Pains, Who's The Boss?, Charles In Charge, Mr Belvedere, Hangin' With Mr Cooper, Martin, King Of The Hill, Arrested Development

Never Jumped: Shows that were great from beginning to end:

Gilligan's Island, Car 54 Where Are You?, McHale's Navy, The Phil Silvers Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Flying Nun, Green Acres, Leave It To Beaver, The Munsters, Get Smart

They have all these links to videos and other stuff on TVGuide.com, which just sniffs of selling out. I don't know if TV Guide owns JTS or not, but it's not the same anymore.:(

Happy Days: It's not Chachi's fault! He just happened to come at a time when Richie was leaving. Jumped the Shark when Richie left and they started added characters like Roger and KC.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: No more Libby.

The Cosby Show: Olivia & Pam

That 70's Show: Definitely when Donna dyed her hair blonde (I was always waiting for her to go back to red) and when Eric left.

Full House: When Michelle's friends got bigger parts

Boy Meets World: The addition of Rachel

Family Matters-when Steve urkel was suddently 6"1 and his voice started to crack, he was too old to play that role by season 6.
they should have pick someone that was like 8 years old in season 1.
