Laura told Steve a million times that they would never have a relationship and all of a sudden when he became a teenager, she started having feelings for him. I thought that was phony. How could Laura all of a sudden want Steve to be her man after dissing him so many times? If a woman told me the first time she wasn't interested in me, i'd leave her alone. But Steve for some reason kept on trying to get with Laura and i guess she finally gave in and decided to be his woman since he wouldn't leave her alone. I know this is just a tv show but if this was real life, Laura would've filed a harrassing police report against Steve because he was stalking her.

I think she started respecting Steve for the intelligent human he turned out to be. He was growing on her, not in an attractive way, just a friendly way. Hey man, females like that attention. Remember when he started paying Myra attention, Laura got jealous.

As much as I think Laura liked Steve more than she would admit, that match just stinks. The relation being phony is a great way to describe it.

And yeah, if Laura would have reported Steve to the police, they would just laugh at it. Steve never did anything criminal. Heck, Laura's dad was a cop! And Carl never arrested Steve or even said he could have arrested Steve.

If i was Carl and i lived next door to Steve, i would've moved my family away LOL. Steve was very annoying. I didn't like the way he always showed up to the Winslow house when they didn't like him. Laura in real life would've never paid any attention to Steve.

The reason why Steve never stopped loving Laura is because they were friends. Rachel even said so herself in the season finale of Season 4. She said to Laura "over the years, when you weren't looking, you and Steve......... became friends". Then eventually Laura started to fall for him. It was one of those rare forms of chemistry that does happen in real life but rarely. Chemistry that takes years to form between 2 people.

Chemistry my ass! That ending just makes me nauseous. Steve choosing that superficial disgusting bitch Laura, when he actually had Myra? Who thought that was a good idea? The writers must have been on crack!

We may disagree about some things about this show, but I will always agree with you on this issue. To me Steve and Laura had much better chemistry as friends. When they got together it just did not fit at all, it even seem kind of forced and the chemistry they did have as friends was ruined.

I'm sorry my language in my last post was strong, but this just wexes me to no end. I know it's just a TV show, and that it was ten years ago now, but it still makes me mad.
