Cactus Jack 05-29-2007, 07:52 PM uld you stop talking and listen to this song and sing it to yourself and getting lost in it and maybe start dancing, or would ya keep talking?
Id do the first, yeah Id like to talk to my freinds, but if a song I like is on, I wanna LISTEN! No matter how loud, Id be more interested in the song than the convo
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-29-2007, 09:55 PM No. I listen to my songs at home...if it comes on somewhere where I'm doing things, I know can listen to it later without interruptions.

Karen* 05-30-2007, 12:05 AM As soon as I hear the song, I interrupt the conversation to say "OMG I love this song!" then we'd just continue talking like normal.

You'd wanna go with ME somewhere then!
Janice 05-30-2007, 03:44 PM It there was a convenient opening, I might mention that I loved that song. Otherwise, I wouldn't make a show of it.

 Me, too. That's been a habit of mine since I was a little girl.
Once I hear a song that I either really like or absolutely love and we're in the middle of a conversation, I'll at least hum along to it while I'm talking to the person. It's not like I'm gonna ignore them entirely.

I could never see you sitting on the sidelines, Jack. Depending on the people I'm with, yeah I'll go for it.
Nighthawk76 05-30-2007, 06:28 PM I've been in restraunts with friends when songs I like have been playing but I've never said anything like "That's a good song" or "Hey, I like that song" because I'd be too worried about being criticised if the friends I was with didn't like the song. Even though I would be less likely to concerned with criticism now then I would have been ten years ago.

The last time I went to Barnes & Noble they were playing Led Zeppelin. Then they followed it with The Rolling Stones. I was really surprised to hear Zeppelin and the Stones in a bookstore. Though surprised in a good way, of course. Now today on my way home from work I went into Walgreens and they were playing Van Halen. I think when you start to hear your music being played in bookstores and drugstores you know that you have gotten old.
catlover79 05-31-2007, 12:01 AM If a song I really like comes on in a restaurant or a store, I start singing along! I do it softly, though. My family and friends long ago got used to that.
