is there any sitcom ever where a family has moved into a new house anytime during the intire run like they start in one and by the end of it there in a new one

I Love Lucy. Only they don't change houses. They go from apartment to house. Does that count?!

My Three Sons, Perfect Strangers and Leave It To Beaver are the only ones I can think of right now.

This has been a topic I've been wondering about for awhile, because there are not many shows that do this. The only one that I can think of is The Jeffersons. They move from the house next to Archie and Edith to the deluxe apartment in the sky.

Beaver is the most obvious, but there were some other changes not by "families," if they count:

Coach-from the cabin in Minnesota to the modern house in Florida
Laverne & Shirley-from Milwaukee to California
Mary Tyler Moore-from cool apt. to the one with the view
Facts of Life-school to Edna's to another place? (I lost track)

Mr. Brady moved from his house and Ms. Martin moved out of her parents house, got married, and moved into there ever famous 2 story ranch if you call it that,:confused:

The Odd Couple (Felix & Oscar) move from one apartment to a different one -- but nothing is ever said about the new place.

Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mary moves from her studio apartment to a one bedroom.

Perfect Strangers-Larry moves from a studio to a bigger apartment after Balki moves in, then in the last season the boys get married and share a house.

Welcome Back Kotter-The Kotters move from their studio apartment to a bigger apartment after julie has the twins during the 3rd season.

Not the main characters, but the Coopers moved to a new house "across town" (according to Wayne) on The Wonder Years between the 1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons.

The original home on TCS changed after the 1st episode, or its downstairs appearance changed dont think the family moved though.

Golden Girls - Rose, Dorothy, Sopia all moved in with Blanche and then all moved to a hotel except Dorothy who married

Mamas Family - Naomi moved from her house next door to the basement with Vint after they married

TCS - Sondra/Elvin moved from a crappy apt into a better one, in with Cliff/Claire, into a new house

wow, this is a really good question. the only thing i could think of was the full house crew adding all those "additions" on to their house, like the attic, the garage, etc. that was hysterical.

Roseanne - Jackie moved from her apt, in with Roseanne and her mother, then into that house that Dan and his buddies were selling.
Darlene moved from home to her school apt.
Becky and Mark moved into some trailer from Roseannes home

On One Day at a time , after Julie and Max moved to Houston and Barbara and Mark lived in student housing (which was condemned due to a still blowing up in the basement) and Max quitting his job at the airline and all of them ending up back at Ann's apartment. The four, Julie, Max , Barbara and Mark ended up renting a house together in the end of Season 8 !;)

The Bob Newhart show, Bob and Emily moved to a new apartment towards the end of the series.

Mom- Season 1 they have a house and Season 2 on they live an apartment complex.

The Cunninghams lived in the same house for the whole run of “Happy Days”. The set was reconfigured in season 3 when the show began shooting in front of a studio audience. The dining room disappeared and the door changed to the back wall. So I get why there might be confusion. But it was supposed to be the same house and they used the same house for the establishing exterior shots.

Did anyone mention “Make Room For Daddy” yet? I think they had at least four different apartments on that show (the one he shared with his first wife, the one he had when he was a widower, the one he got when he married his second wife, and another one in the final years of the show). They did mention on the show when they got the new apartment when he remarried (don’t know if they mentioned it the other times).

Perfect Strangers:It’s been so long since I’ve seen it but didn’t Larry & Balki move out of the apartment that last season and moved into a house with Mary Ann & Jennifer.

Laverne & Shirley:Laverne & Shirley moved to California. Than Shirley moved out of her California home.

Three’s Company: Jack moved out to live at Restaurant. Janet Moved out to live with Philip. Elinor moved out. The Ropers Moved out.Chrissy moved back home. Cindy moved out & Terrie moved out.

They didn't move. It's the same house, the interior was changed.

Lucy Carmichael moved out of her house on “The Lucy Show” and moved to an apartment.

“Bewitched” changed locations starting in episode 2, and it was acknowledged that they were buying a house in the burbs and moving out of Darrin’s apartment.

I remember when Kate & Allie moved out of the Greenwich Village house. It was never the same after that.
