I don't think Lifetime would've allowed it. Buena Vista would've had to get the rights from them, and it doesn't look like they were interested in spending a lot on bonus material (judging by the fashion commentary on Season 1). But I do think you can find a copy on VHS if you look on the tape trading board or somewhere.

The Special on Lifetime

Yeah it aired in June 2003. The last time I saw it on Lifetime was November 11, 2005. I have a VHS copy, but I wish Lifetime would release it on DVD.

Warner Brothers owns the special and The Golden Girls is released by Disney/Buena Vista HE.
