View Full Version : Growing Pains on "The-N"!!!
Better Days 05-28-2007, 01:21 AM Growing Pains is coming to yet another channel - "The-N" starting May 28. As of now, it's only for a week.
I can't believe I'm the first to post this here. I haven't been keeping up with TV lately, and I was looking through the schedule and saw a whole bunch of Growing Pains - a marathon, tommorow, May 28. I realized how out of touch I am. It's posted in the general section, but just a day ago. Was this last minute programming by The-N?
I saw a commercial for GP on The-N a few weeks ago. I don't remember if it was for N@N airings. I thought that was unusual.
Though GP(supposedly) isn't doing well on TV, it's cool that it's been on so many stations.
Pavan 05-28-2007, 01:53 AM Yeah, 12-6am marathon tomorow. Details:

oooooo. I'm moving home Wednesday. Maybe I can finally show my GP support if they decide to keep as a regular. Maybe I can convince my friends to let me watch some of the marathon tonight!! :D
tanquant 05-29-2007, 04:19 PM I was glad to see it on the N. All Nick at Nite does is show Fresh Prince, Roseanne, and the Cosby show. They need to stop with the marathons and make it a place where we can watch a variety of shows. That would leave a lot of space (without the marathons). To add americas funniest home videos to the line up is a slap in the face.
Scoobiedoo30 05-29-2007, 04:55 PM I check www.TVTitan.com and Growing Pains is only on for a week
Pavan 05-29-2007, 08:12 PM We already stated it is just for a week, as of now.
Ireneparalegal 05-29-2007, 08:16 PM What is the purpose of that? Why put it on at all?

Maybe to see how much ratings it can get?
jennyjenq 06-01-2007, 11:43 AM Hopefully this is a test run, and if it does well enough they'll keep it on.
Scoobiedoo30 06-01-2007, 12:32 PM you know I was thinking the same thing
Pavan 06-01-2007, 01:26 PM It is not airing next week.
FOL85NatandMrsGRock 06-03-2007, 09:02 AM man, this sucks, all of the good shows are finally coming to the n now that i dont get it anymore! My mom said why pay for so much cable (that she never watched but i did) while i'm at college all of the time and barely home (only for summers usually) so yea, we dont get the n anymore! I am SOOOOO disappointed that i missed it.. sigh, well, hopefully somebody can just bring about talking about the episodes that are playing and i can hopefully chime in ;)

Then why air it at midnight, when (at least on the East Coast) most of their audience is already/is preparing to go to bed.

Good question. I know for me trying to watch A Different World at midnight was at times good because I would still be awake and trying to fall asleep. But an earlier time would have made more sense since like you pointed out, most people are either going to sleep or already are asleep.
McFly121 06-17-2007, 11:29 PM At first I was like, what is this "N"??? Then in reading the article, it's what I've been figuring they'd eventually do, which is launch another couple services. Like Nick at Nite 2 and 3 to accomodate all the shows in their library. And have one channel they can devote to their precious Fresh Pi**, Roseanne, Cosby, and Full House.

I TOTALLY AGREE with what you said! I'm getting tired of seeing marathons of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Cosby Show, and Roseanne! I'm sure some of you may be thinking, "So change the channel if you don't want to watch the marathons." That is true I could change the channel, but nothing else is really on in the evenings, so I tune into Nick@Nite to watch the neverending marathons. They never gave Growing Pains a fair chance on Nick@Nite. They need to give Growing Pains a fair chance. We need a variety of shows back on Nick@Nite!
