In "Vacation From Marriage" Fred is wearing glasses. Or at least they are on top of his head, as Ethel points it out to him. He can't seem to find them and Ethel always points them out to him.
What other episodes do we see Fred with glasses? I know in a scene in a restaurant shows him wearing glasses, I think the French restaurant.
ALSO!!!!!!!!! If Ethel wanted to be sure the men were home, why didn't she just call the apartment and see if the boys answered. If they answered, then they didn't go out. Ethel was soooo worried thinking the boys had gone out since the girls had done the ruse that they were going out to 21.
Another observation, my boyfriend told me this one....when Lucy had just crossed the plank to the other building, why didn't she just go down the stairs in the other building and go back to their building and open the door for Ethel since it was obvious Ethel was too scared to walk the plank? It wouldn't have hurt to see if the door on the roof was open, if so, just walk down.
As for the waterhose on the roof, my boyfriend told me this, he is a roofer, he has seen many waterhoses on roofs. He states as for the buildings in the 50's, the hose was used for fire reasons. In the event there was a fire somewhere in the building one could run up to the roof and use that water for safety reasons as well to battle any flames until you can get saved. Also, in those times and earlier, one would use the water hose to help keep flames from jumping from a nearby building that was on fire. I would think mostly the landlord or the owner would do that.
