The FRASIER Follow-Up
It's a few years since the hit TV sitcom (former Cheers spinoff) went off the air. Here's a look at what the Crane family and friends are currently up to.
FRASIER CRANE (Kelsey Grammer) moved back to Seattle, he has recently bought a townhouse, where he lives happily and platonically with his former ex-wife and now best friend, LILITH STERIN-CRANE (Bebe Neuwirth). Frasier and Lilith are no-longer romantically involved, but living strictly platonic and still divorced (and free to date whomever they chose to). Frasier and Lilith live with their now-sixteen-year-old son, FREDRICK CRANE - who just recently came out of the closet to his parents, family, and friends. NILES CRANE (David Hyde Pierce) still practices his therapy sessions, and is still quite-happily married to his beloved wife, DAPHNE CRANE (Jane Leeves). Niles and Daphne live with their now-three-year-old son, DAVID CRANE, and their eighteen-month-old twins: PRESTON CRANE and VERONICA CRANE. Niles and Daphne wanted to have a second child after David was born, but has very little success with getting & staying pregnant. Niles and Daphne then went to a highly-successful fertility specialist in order to get pregnant by uses of fertility drugs-which turned out successfully when they found out they were having not just one more baby-but a set of twins, one boy and one girl. Niles and Daphne named their son, Preston, after their fertility specialist, Dr. Preston Wilkes; and named their daughter, Veronica, after Niles's stepmother, Ronee. MARTIN CRANE (John Mahoney) is still a retired police officer and happily married to his wife, RONEE CRANE (Wendie Malick). Ronee found out two years ago, that she has breast cancer and has just recently started going through chemotherapy. Frasier and Niles are there for Ronee and Martin, even though she is not their birthmother but stepmother who loves and takes good care of their father. Also, Frasier has came back to do his daily morning radio therapy show with producer and good friend, ROZ DOYLE (Peri Gilpin), and station manager, BULLDOG (Dan Butler). Roz still has full custody of her now-ten-year-old daughter, ALICE DOYLE. Recently, Frasier, Roz, and Bulldog went to Vegas to attend a radio-talk show convention in Reno, Nevada. During a very drunken night of fun, Roz and Bulldog end up eloping and waking up hitched & hungover. Before getting their marriage/elopement annulled, Bulldog insisted on letting Roz give him a month (30 days) to prove to her that he is capable of being a great husband and dad (to Alice). At first, Roz is unsure of if she should give Bulldog thirty days to prove himself--yet she ends up listening to Bulldog and grants him a month to prove himself to her (and Alice). Also, Frasier, Lilith (sometimes), Niles, Daphne, Martin, Ronee (sometimes), Roz, and Bulldog go out for drinks every Friday night.
