He played himself in the episode "Rent Strike" He was revealed to be the owner of the building that Felix and Oscar lived in.

That was the episode with Victor Buono as the building manager Mr. Lovelace, who threatened to evict Felix for being a troublemaker.

It was a funny episode though.

The Odd Couple had several guest stars over the years -- while some of the scripts may have been a stretch, they were always funny.
