View Full Version : A Couple Questions about McMann & Tate
Adamantium 05-23-2007, 05:51 PM Do we ever see this McMann?
Why is McMann a President of the company when it appears to us that only Larry Tate and Darrin Stephens do the work around there? lol
Does Darrin ever become a President making it McMann, Tate and Stephens?
catlover79 05-23-2007, 07:55 PM They only showed McMann a couple of times; I'm not sure why he wasn't seen more.

He owned the company, he didn't need to be there all the time.

So did Larry, but he was there all the time!

Larry wasn't as old as McMann. Besides, someone had to be there.
I worked for a law firm that was owned by two men. I worked daily with the one owner and I only saw the other owner twice in one year. Once at a big luncheon and the other time at Christmas.

Good point, Irene!
Madame X 05-24-2007, 11:14 AM McMann probably invested most of the money, and Tate didn't have as much to invest so he had to work more.

Sadly, no he does not...Maybe if they did a reunion when the cast members were alive, maybe then they would have promoted Darrin after all those years.

Maybe Darrin became a president after McMann and/or Tate retired.

I just watched the episode where Samantha sees what it would be like if Darrin and she had never met. There was a scene where Larry Tate offers Darrin the chance to become a partner in the firm. So if Darrin had never met and married Samantha, he would have been. That doesn't really seem to make sense to me. How did Samantha hurt Darrin's chances at becoming a partner?

Maybe the position was offered because of the rich and famous family Darrin would have married into. To a person, Samantha was just a simple, ordinary girl with no money or social status. If only they knew the REAL story...
comedyfreak 05-24-2007, 11:08 PM If he'd never met Samantha, he would have married Sheila.

Yes, and he would've been miserable. Rich but miserable.

Not to mention that the show would have sucked if Darrin had never met Samantha and married Sheila. LOL
caladon 05-25-2007, 12:11 AM As I recall, the part of McMann was portayed only once; and I believe the actor was veteran character actor Leon Ames.

He was featured twice: in season 4 he was played by Roland Winters, and by Leon Ames in season 6.

Very interesting! I don't think I would have caught that; I only knew about Leon Ames.
