Not trying to highjack the thread, but did Nana Marry die before Roseanne went off the air? I know Shelley Winters didn't pass away until 2006. The reason I ask is because I was watching the episode where Darlene gives birth. While she is holding her baby, she remarks how every generation of women in the family are present. Obviously, Nana Mary was not there. I never watched all the episodes from the last two seasons, so I'm not sure what happened to the character?

Shelly Winters was far too young to be cast as Bev's Mother.
