besides "Have to get a hobby" what else is it for me to say before I just stop taking her calls completely? She's really fun to talk and be around but i just can't deal with the-" i'm a loser because I don;t have a boyfriend" mess anymore.

Offer to have sex with her right there on the spot. One way or another, you'll never hear her complain about being single ever again.

Tell her "I agree".

If her friendship is important to you, it might be time to lay it on the line to her. Tell her that you don't have any answers for her, especially if she's ignored your advice previously. I once had to wrangle out of a friendship because the person was burning a hole in my head with their issues, one after the other.

I consider myself a good friend, but there's a limit to everything. I have my own problems, and when I start to feel like someone's therapist, or when the friendship starts feeling like a chore -- that's when I lose interest.

You are so right Janice-lol It does have the CHORE feel at times and I told her I'm no longer interested in her complaining about NOT HAVING ANYONE. I do have anyone either but I have ways to deal with it and for her to be almost 30 it's time for her to cut the SH*T out-lol I told herI don't have a problem discussing family problems, job problems, financial problems, NO MORE MOANING ABOUTBEING SINGLE like I can snap my fingers and have a guy standing in her apartment-lol

It really comes down to people asking for advice and not heeding it. How annoying is that???? I am sick and tired of people who ask for advice and don't follow through with it. Why ask then??? I can see your dilemna Solomon. Friends can really be annoying when they ask for help or advice.

Tell it to her straight Solomon. You don't seem to have that problem in telling people how you feel.

Gee thanks Seth - we already have enough whackjobs up this way!

I worked with a chick like that - drives me nuts. Wish I could have REALLY told her why she doesn't have a boyfriend, can't keep one, or why guys run screaming from her as fast as they can - cuz she's a WHINEY, HIGH-MAINTENANCE BEOTCH WHO'S TOO SELF-ABSORBED TO REALIZE WHY SHE CAN'T GET A GUY! I mean, this girl is absolutely beautiful in looks, but whoa, God help the poor sucker who ends up with her, if that's even possible. She prides herself on walking out in the middle of a date (doesn't matter where) if he the least bit kids her or looks at her "funny".

Anyway, sounds to me like she's laying some heavy duty HINTS on you Solomon. She might not be your type, but it sure sounds like you're hers. ;)

(and Seth - I DO like the suggestion about sex, right there on the spot - I'm sure that would put an end to it real quick - for one of them at least!)

Oh my gosh, you certainly don't need to give this girl advice abt dating. You need to stay away from her. If she is a stalker, God knows what else she is capable of.

Me too - for your sake - if she's now stalking the ex? She sounds more like 13 than almost 30!!!! I've seen so many "girls" like this. It's sad - they'd rather have a guy for the sake of having a boyfriend than anything.

Seriously - I would just tell her straight that it's really starting to wear thin with you.

Well this is her want list in a man

Good Looking
Athletic with muscles
Nice Paying Job
Nice Car
Tall
Own Place
Little bit of THUG on him

So as long as she focus on all that, she will be ALONE and MISERABLE-lol

Gee, hardly superficial at all eh? Not one point is about personality. Unless it's "must be able to handle a pyscho stalker".

Hey Solomon; here is my two cents; be honesty with your friend, tell her that you will always be there for her, but having to hear her constantly complain about being single, etc..is becoming tiresome; sometimes, honesty is the best policy!!!

She has chased 6 or 7 guys away in the past 5 years

TVFactFan

Damn, no defense, but your friend sounds like she is deal with some low esteem issues; tell her to learn to love and respect herself, and once she develops self-confidence, the men will be doing the chasing, not vice versa.
