View Full Version : How much do you spend on a gift for someone's graduation? MonarC 05-23-2007, 02:31 PM My cousin is graduating this year. Im not sure what to get her. Any ideas? Frischman_Fan 05-23-2007, 02:47 PM My cousin is graduating this year. Im not sure what to get her. Any ideas? A nice frame that has class of 2007 written on it would be nice or graduation balloons. Or maybe a stuffed graduation bear. You can find these at like Kmart or Walmart or any other store. Czas na Zywiec 05-23-2007, 02:51 PM My brother graduated a few days ago. I couldn't go because I couldn't get off work enough time to drive that far, so I sent him a card with $100. I'd always go with money, that way they can get what they like and I'd base it on how well you know/like them. Janice 05-23-2007, 03:14 PM It all depends on a person's budget as well as your closeness to the person. That's how I decide. dawsongirl 05-23-2007, 10:08 PM Money is always good if they are going to college, especially if they are living in a dorm. Towels are nice too. I'm not getting my lazy cousin anything. She graduated early so she could start CC, but didn't even make it thru the first semester. She has 2 jobs; she can make her own damn money. swedeace 05-23-2007, 10:19 PM You can do a couple of affordable and creative ideas: 1. Money. 2. Gift certificate. 3. A card with something also written from your heart. 4. Take a nice picture of the graduate holding his/her diploma. Clean up the picture using PhotoShop or another photo-editing program. Print it out on a photo printer or take it to a photo-printing place (Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, etc...) and purchase a cheap frame from a second-hand store and frame the picture. I find that framed pictures seem like a special and memorable gift. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 05-23-2007, 10:29 PM haha yeah, being one of those graduating this year I know I'd be happiest to receive money. I really think it depends on how close you are to the person, though, in deciding how much. MonarC 05-23-2007, 11:19 PM Ok thanks guys. I think I will go with cash and also another small gift. :D |
