View Full Version : Teen accused of dumping newborn in trash
Holly 05-23-2007, 01:32 PM A Brunswick teen is accused of disposing of her newborn baby by throwing the infant in the garbage.
Police say 18-year-old Victoria Leigh McGivern gave birth to the boy in early April and them put the newborn in a trash can.
The Rensselaer County district attorney says a medical examination of the baby was unable to determine whether he was born alive.
McGivern is charged with the unlawful disposal of a body.
State police were at her home on Leversee Road in Brunswick shortly after the baby died.
McGivern will be arraigned Wednesday night in Brunswick Town Court.
If convicted, McGivern could face up to 60 days in jail

:thanx:
I agree with you there..I would have left it at the Hospital, for the drs can look for adobtion parents to take care of the baby.. girl is crazy I wouldn't have the heart to do that..
waichingliu81 05-23-2007, 03:08 PM the thing is also, if she had no intention of keeping that child, then why couldn't she put it up for adoption? the idea of getting pregnant and giving birth to the child- only to dispose of it in the trash can, is terrible. i hope that when the child gets older and finds out where her biological mother lives, she takes her to court and sues her arse for neglect- big time
Holly 05-23-2007, 04:19 PM Diddo I Defintley Agree with you there!

i had to re-read the bit where where it said the baby died. that's really sad :( . it looks like we won't see that poor kid get his own back on her mother. i do worry if and when she does reproduce again, because what if she does the same thing again. and 60 days in jail is not long enough- she should be behind bars for 3 years and that she should be injected with some syrum that prevents her from ever being able to give birth to children. i wonder if this thing exists in america
dawsongirl 05-23-2007, 10:03 PM :wallbang This is why so many states have that program where people can drop off babies at hospitals, no questions asked, and the babies will (I assume anyway) be put up for adoption. GET A CLUE, MORON WOMEN. Girls, not women. My error.

Not that I know of. Sounds like a swell idea though.
Courtnee 05-24-2007, 02:22 PM Ok...if you don't want children, you shouldn't be such a little whore. Even if you did get preggars, you have other options. Even if you were scared or something, throwing him away like he's a paper bag isn't the answer, damn it. Hell, she could have taken him to one of those "safe places" and they would have taken care of him, with NO QUESTIONS ASKED . She deserves more than 60 days in jail...more like 60 YEARS.
This just makes me sick. There are tons of people in the world who desperately want children and are unable to have them while immature, irresponsible WHORE-ISH CHILDREN leave their illegitimate babies in trash cans. :sarah:

regardless of whether the woman is 16, 19, 28, 35 or whatever, there is no way one could dump a newborn baby in the bin and carry on living their lives, as if nothing had happened. this little girl ought to be ashamed of herself for what she did. and although i don't condone violence or abuse, someone should give her a spanking on her butt for her troubles. stupid child, man that girl has a lot of growing up to do, as well as have some sense knocked into that 'pea brained' head of hers:mad:
*ClassicPinUp* 05-24-2007, 05:44 PM 60 days in jail? Wow, is that all a life is worth these days. She should serve life without the possibility of parole.
Although hearing what happens to baby killers in jail...I doubt she'd even live the 60 days.
