May 22, 2007 - Spurs lead series 2-0


The Spurs will be heading off to Utah for Game 3 with a 2-0 lead over Utah after a solid performance on Tuesday night in front of a sold-out AT&T Center crowd.

Michael Finley began the game with a wide open three pointer which was tale of things to come as the Spurs would convert on 50 percent of their 3-point opportunities. Five different Spurs hit shots from beyond the three point arc.

Utah was able to pull even three times during the game but the Spurs refused to relinquish the lead and never trailed at any time during the game.

Tim Duncan produced 26 points and 14 rebounds, his 11th straight playoff game with at leats 20 points and 10 rebounds. He converted on 10-of-15 field goals, blocked five shots and also dished out four assists.

Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili scored 17 points each and Parker recorded a career playoff high with 14 assists. Fabricio Oberto also scored in double figures with 11 points and six boards.

The Spurs three point threats on the night came from Finley, Bruce Bowen and Brent Barry. Bowen and Barry converted on 3-of-4 from downtown and Finley went 3-of-6. Combined the trio combined to shoot 64 percent from long distance.

Carlos Boozer was the game's leading scorer with 33 points for the Jazz. He also had a game high 15 rebounds. Deron Williams finished with a double-double with 26 points and 10 assists.

The series will now shift to Salt Lake City, where the Jazz has not lost in the 2007 Playoffs. Game 3 will tipoff Saturday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m.

I have lost interest in this series, i was turning back and forth last night because the spurs were just kicking the jazz ass-lol I turned back and they were up by 18 and I was like-"DAMM, what happened?-lol Spurs win one fo the games in Utah and then come home to end it in Game 5

Yeah, it gets boring when they are ahead by like 20 points. I was switching back and forth to Dancing with the Stars. My man Ginobili had an awesome dunk.
