No, I didn't see Linda Lavin at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. I'm sure many of us already own the Alice DVD already, but today is the first day I have ever seen it for sale in an actual store. Cracker Barrel was also selling That Girl, The Waltons, Family Affair, Welcome Back Kotter, Chico and the Man, Doris Day, and several other titles in their gift shop.

In my grocery store abt two months ago they had a sale on DVD's...buy one get one free of classic shows like Barney Miller, What's Happening, Good Times and others.

They've also got a bunch of those generic ones where the rights have expired (3 or 4 episode sets). I know they've got Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Andy Griffith. I believe all 3 also don't have the original theme songs either. I know another bunch they had were Hee Haw (I picked up one of those for my parents, who liked that show). Those were put out by Time Life though (different from the others). As far as the Alice one, the only place I ever saw it for sale was at Borders. The local FYE could order it for me, but at the time, it would have taken a couple weeks.

A few weeks ago the local Kroger store had one of those buy 1 - get 1 free DVD bins. They had stuff like Diff'rent Strokes, The Ellen Show, Soap, All In The Family, and also the titles you mentioned. We need more sales like that! :happyface
