If it wasn't bad enough that she was living in Arizona instead of Los Angeles, she meets a legend in George Burns and DOESN'T give him a card or a number or a demo tape??? Alice was lazy! LOL

True. But then we would have missed that wonderful disco episode of Alice and Martha Raye singing "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". ;) In those wonderful and sexy, short outfits...:puke: Brian Damage 05-18-2007, 10:38 PM True. Ireneparalegal 05-18-2007, 11:02 PM She could still sing here and there, just not try and make a career of it. She could have sung on the weekends, sung at weddings, sung at functions, etc. Making a career was far fetched in Phoenix. If she wanted it that bad, she should have found a way to go all the way to Los Angeles. However, if she was from Jersey, why not go to New York? It was much closer than Los Angeles...geez. Brian Damage 05-18-2007, 11:35 PM She could have sung on the weekends, sung at weddings, sung at functions, etc. Making a career was far fetched in Phoenix. How close was the movie to the show? I know that the actress who played Vera is the same and that Diane Ladd played Flo, but I don't know much else. Valerie Curtin played Vera in the movie (she was also the original "Janet" role in one of the unaired Three's Company pilots, although her character was actually named Jenny). The only two actors who played the same role in the Movie and the show were Vic Tayback, and Alfred Lutter III (in the pilot only) |
