I've just stumbled across a few quotes from Lucille Ball I thought I would share with you. She had many interesting and wise things to say through the years. The third quote below is personally very meaningful to me right now because of something I'm dealing with at the moment, and I'm very happy I found it. Those words are very helpful for, and relevant to, my situation. The fourth quote I think every person should take to heart. Actually, I think these are all great quotes. If anyone has any others to share, please do.

"I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it, and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else; hard work and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't."

"Knowing what you can not do is more important than knowing what you can do. In fact, that's good taste."

"One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself."

"Politics should be the part-time profession of every citizen who would protect the rights and privileges of free people and who would preserve what is good and fruitful in our national heritage."

I've never heard any of those before. The one that sticks out in my mind is:

If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it. The more things you do, the more you can do.

That's a good one and is so true.
