View Full Version : Is Five hardshell Tacos TOO MUCH FOOD for one person?
TVFactFan 05-17-2007, 01:56 PM My frind has been getting on me all day because I said I will be buying five tacos from Taco bell later tonight since i will be out shopping and when i said five his repsonse was-FIVE TACOS?????????? Why so many?
5 tacos is a Ridiculous amount?-lol
Max Whittaker 05-17-2007, 02:16 PM One taco from Taco Bell is too much! Ewww!!!! That **** is disgusting!!!
Do you have any idea what you're eating?
I've only eaten at Taco Bell a handful of times when I was really hungry. I have a very strong stomach ordinarily, but each time, that food messed me up so bad!!!
Never again. I highly recommend you not put anything like that into your body.
catlover79 05-17-2007, 02:35 PM It's a free country, Solomon. Eat all the tacos you want.
Zoneboy 05-17-2007, 02:46 PM Get the 10 pack, I think they're a little cheaper.
TVFactFan 05-17-2007, 02:53 PM Get the 10 pack, I think they're a little cheaper.
I could eat 10 if I was 21, at 31 i would have to go to the emergency room-lol
Zoneboy 05-17-2007, 03:12 PM I could eat 10 if I was 21, at 31 i would have to go to the emergency room-lol
I'm 42 and the last time I ate at Taco Belly Ache was about 5 years ago and I always got the 10 pack. They gave me very little trouble but I've changed my diet over the years and no longer eat fast food with the exception of Subway.
Mr. Television 05-17-2007, 03:16 PM I don't think that's to much Solomon...not from Taco Bell. I usually get 3 Tacos and a Chaluppa and I can still go for more.
phoebe7165 05-17-2007, 03:19 PM Hey, if you can handle 5 tacos more power to you!!
I tend to overdo it at Taco Bell anyway. I used to always order more than I can eat. I've been better lately.
Plus I don't think their tacos are all that big anyway.
Ireneparalegal 05-17-2007, 03:38 PM Five tacos from Taco Bell are just an appetizer. Those are so darn thin and not filling at all.
TVFactFan 05-17-2007, 04:12 PM Five tacos from Taco Bell are just an appetizer. Those are so darn thin and not filling at all.
Thank you Irene, that was my point to him earlier when i said i was going there-lol
Ireneparalegal 05-17-2007, 04:33 PM Thank you Irene, that was my point to him earlier when i said i was going there-lol
I would rather make homemade tacos, but sometimes out busy running errands, when my daughter gets a craving for Taco Bell, I will usually eat some tacos just to kill my appetite til I can eat dinner later that evening. They may not be the best tacos, but I like them.

Same with me. I don't eat fast food burgers any more or KFC, but if I am out and busy, I will get Taco Bell tacos. 4 or 5 sounds about right.
Dutabi84 05-17-2007, 05:30 PM Nah. I could do 5 normal sized tacos without a problem. Not that it's exceptionally healthy or anything.
EmoJoe 05-17-2007, 05:50 PM Taco Bell = amazing and i don't care what anyone says. :snob: homemade tacos are better of coursr though
and i have 3 tacos usually...well i have 2 if i go to Taco Bell but 3-4 if it's at home.
TVFactFan 05-17-2007, 07:07 PM Well just finished my 5 tacos and they were gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-lol
Probabyly won't be there again until mid June
Fleet 05-17-2007, 08:41 PM 5 of them probably has a lot of sodium (and calories). But it depends how big they are.
But I do remember one of my friends consuming 3-5 Arby's at one time.
Brieannas21 05-17-2007, 08:47 PM Well I hate Taco Bell, but 5 tacos from them isn't that much since they're so thin.
Janice 05-17-2007, 08:50 PM I'm not a fan of tacos, but I've seen how small they are at Taco Bell. So no, I don't think five is a lot at all. I'm glad you enjoyed them Solomon!
Ireneparalegal 05-17-2007, 08:51 PM Well I hate Taco Bell, but 5 tacos from them isn't that much since they're so thin.
Back in the days (70's) they were big! They even had tomatos in them.
You don't get that in the tacos unless you get a Taco Supreme. I miss the Bell Beefers. Those were DA BOMB!:D
KissMyGrits 05-17-2007, 10:15 PM My son eats 5 tacos every time we go to Taco Bell. If we make home made tacos, he usually eats 6 or 7.....
Mr. Television 05-17-2007, 11:56 PM I can go for some tacos right now.
catlover79 05-18-2007, 12:00 AM Back in the days (70's) they were big! They even had tomatos in them.

*singing the All in the Family song* "Those were the days..." Remember the old Run for the Border ads? Gee, I wonder why they're never shown anymore... ;)

I guess maybe because they decided to go with "Think Outside the Bun".
Maybe people were jokingly saying Run for the Bathroom rather than Run for the Border, after eating their food(especially those refried beans!!):D .

Actually, I was referring to the problems with immigration, but you have valid points there too, Phoebe.

I got the joke.
Yooch 05-18-2007, 01:07 AM At this point in my life, five tacos would be way too much, as my metabolism has slowed. I could probably eat three, but even then that would be a lot for me. I'd say two is the norm for me right now.
(Back in 'the day' I could easily eat more than five, I mean when I was in my late teens, early twenties)
Stormtracker TF 05-18-2007, 01:38 AM  I always have about 5 of them when I eat there. One or two isn't much to eat at ALL.
Karen* 05-18-2007, 02:44 AM I don't think so. I can eat a bunch of those. :p Soft tacos >>>>>>> hardshell tacos though. :D

Wow! Now there's a recipe for some serious health problems!
You know, the funny thing is, less than six months ago, I really didn't care. I'd have three sodas a day without thinking about it and I'd go out to fast food at least twice a week, usually more.
I don't quite know when or why I suddenly changed my mindset. It was probably a number of things that just kept building up over time.
Please, people! Don't kill yourselves with this stuff. It isn't worth it.
K. Done. Sorry.

Why? Just don't like them? Had some bad beans? Why do u hate beans? There are different kinds and there are different ways of preparing them.
catlover79 05-18-2007, 11:13 PM I LOVE green beans, either fresh from the garden or frozen. Especially really long green beans. It's baked beans I'm not crazy about.

I like all of them and I can make some great baked beans. When I was Solomon's age, I couldn't stand them but I learned to like them especially when my health got bad from eating nothing but meat and dairy.

No veggies and no beans? I hope you're getting your fibre from another reliable food source or supplements.

Plus it makes everything digest smoothly, I can’t see how people go through life and not eat Veggies. There’s a woman at my work who doesn’t eat Veggies.
catlover79 05-19-2007, 09:38 AM I LOVE veggies! I even buy frozen green beans, peas, carrots and corn in the enormous bags and snack on them. I love veggie soup. I will admit I'm not crazy about lima beans or radishes, but that's about it.
TripperFan 05-19-2007, 11:04 AM Not if you plan on being on the next season of "The Biggest Loser"! ;)
