After leading early in the first quarter the Spurs found themselves playing from behind most of the night. With a come-from-behind performance by the Suns on Monday night it was only fitting that the Spurs would display some second half magic of their own in Game 5.

The Spurs surged in the second half, outscoring Phoenix 55-41. Manu Ginobili had his best performance of the 2007 Playoffs with a 26-point, 10-rebound effort, scoring 18 in the second half.

Tim Duncan earned a double-double of his own with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Finley and Tony Parker completed the double digit scorers for the Spurs with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Bruce bowen scored nine points including a three pointer with 38 seconds remaing to put the Spurs ahead for good.

Shawn Marion scored 20 points in the first half, but was held to only four in the second. Suns point guard Steve Nash scored 19 points while dropping 12 assists.

The two teams will be back at it in the AT&T Center for Game 6 this Friday, May 18th.

I turnd the game off in the 2nd qtr because the Suns had the look like they refused to lose last night and were going to show the cou try they could get it done without Amare and Boris

Suns just did not have enough juice in the tank to hold the lead being down 2 key players. Good on the Spurs for taking advantage of it though

If only they would have followed the rules and stayed on the bench. I hope they learned their lesson.
