actually, animal planet has changed quite a bit. I am not saying they have abandoned their original purpose, since I don't know what it was. But I remember watching animal planet 5+ years ago and seeing Lassie (Jeff's Collie, Timmy and Lassie, and regular ole Lassie), Flipper, and Skippy-The Bush Kangaroo. Now, all I see on there is reality based programs or documentaries. Not a Sitcom or Drama in sight. Not sure if their purpose changed, or what. But I sure wish I could see Skippy again. That was an awesome show!

GSN

Any channel that get's rid of classic shows to make room for new & original programming is as sellout as far as I'm concerned.

Once they started airing shows that even by the wildest stretch of imagination could not be called Game Shows, that's when GSN died.

Watching people play Blackjack does not a game show make.

I couldn't agree more.

TCM-but I know that someday they, too, will sell out and become just like AMC (unfortunetaly):(

THE HISTORY CHANNEL hasn't, either.

The one that comes to my mind instantly is the Food Network. That is a good channel.

I think ABC Family has stayed consistently good. Lifetime has been pretty consistent, too. Hmmm... its hard for me to think of many others. Lots of selling out and "creative changes" going on... :-/

Lifetime, I think, is in the process of selling out, unfortunately.

For as long as I can remember, it's been the home of melodramatic 80s-90s TV movies. But now, more and more other types of movies are airing. I guess it's not really selling out, but it's just so weird and wrong to see feature films on Lifetime, IMO. Give me something like "My Stepson, My Lover" or "Willing to Kill: The Texas Cheerleader Story" over "Mystic Pizza" or crap like that ANY DAY.
