The Pilot did not explain how Raj and Nadine met. The pilot more focused on reuniting the gang and showed what everyone ended up doing. Rerun was a used car salesman, Dwayne worked for a computer programming company and Raj was a struggling writer. Shirley was in between jobs and was trying to buy Rob's place. It also revealed that Dee was in college and Mabel remarried, sold the house to Raj and Nadine and moved to Arizona.

I remember all of that, I just thought if I missed how they explained on how the two met. I guess between 1979 and 1985 when there was a gap between both shows, they could have met anywhere.

The possibilities with that are endless. It could have been sometime after his freshmen year of college or his first few years in the real world. Would have made a great flashback episode.
