On May 12th, 1987, Nell found out her father was dating a saxaphone player who she thought could have been her real father, then the show wasn't renewed for another season. It doesn't seem so long ago, but then it does. This was just before I began kindergarten. I recently finished school last year. Almost 20 years of schooling I've had since Gimme A Break ended.

I really hope Universal releases season 2 on DVD. 20 years is a long time for a show to be off the air. Gimme A Break will never have a reunion show episode since Nell passed away 4 years ago.

Wow...20 years...that time went by quickly...

I want to see the rest of series put out on DVD too.

It's almost hard to believe that it has been 20 years since GAB ended.

As for a reunion: There may not be a reunion show per se; however, the surviving cast members can still reunite in some other capacity. Theoretically, the surviving cast members could provide some audio commentary on some episodes of GAB for the remaining season sets. Perhaps they could reunite for a bonus feature for a future GAB DVD release. These are just my thoughts.:D

I thought Nell's father died in Season One. Is that just inconsistency on the part of the writers?

I love the idea for a reunion of surviving cast members. A tribute to Nell has never been done. This could be the purpose of bringing them together again.

I hope Season 3 is released soon. :)

I just re-read that. Did you mean her mother was dating a saxophone player? So was Nell's father in season 1 not her real father? Hmmm, this is interesting. I never knew this. Now, I really wanna see the rest of the series released on dvd as soon as possible.
