Like in "Bonus Bucks" Fred asks Lucy for her half of the dollar so he can put is somewhere safe and when Lucy refuses, he looks straight ahead and says "Well!" I love it!! :lol: Btw, what did saying "WELL!" mean?? Lucy and Ethel do it alot of times too.

I love that saying too. It's as if they are highly insulted and their facial expressions are priceless. The meaning doesn't make sense; it is an idiom just like "how come," "cut it out," or "give up." We know what it means, but the literal translation doesn't make sense.

I believe WELL was a short way of saying "Well, I never." Something that Ethel did say at least once.

What's also funny is whenever the truth was forced out of Ethel she would always start the sentance by saying "Weeeelllll......" :lol: Love it!! :lol:
