Rory met her idle, Rory got a job and moved out, a town meeting with a minor Luke and Taylor flare up, Luke and Laurelai's kiss, and the final scene a Luke's. Overall, I was actually impressed with this finale. But one thing that surprised me was that Luke and Laurelai didn't have some sort of inpromptu, Stars Hollow style wedding as the last scene. Somehow I always thought that they would still marry at the end even with all they had been through.
The only one thing that I can truly say I did not like about the finale was it still left one loose end, Sookie and Jackson. This is probably where another 13 episodes would have helped, giving her enough time to give birth to her last child.

I didn't think it was a bad last ep having Rory leave for her first big girl job. I don't think I would of liked a Roryless season with her just on an ep every now and then I mean it was a show about the Gilmore Girls not the Lorelai show even though I love Lorelia it wouldn't of been right to do a season without Rory in every ep. But overall I thought it was a pretty good last ep, they had everyone from stars hollow in it and the grandparents even got to come for the party, that was so nice of Sookie to invite them, I just wish the ending was better. I liked that they faded out showing Lor and Rory sitting and eatting at Lukes, I mean it was just like the first ep that's how it ended with them sitting at Lukes and they faded out from there. But I think instead of just having Lor smiling at Luke the whole time they were at the diner that morning I think they should of had her tell Rory they were an item again and they should of had Lor and Luke say they were going on a vaction for the summer I mean since Luke couldn't take his boat trip or Lor couldn't go on her roller coaster adventure they could of least let Luke and Lorelai go on a joint vaction half boating and half roller coasters I mean that would of been a good way for them to take on there relationship at least they would be showing them more as a couple and wouldn't leave us wondering quite as much. But other then that I liked the ep, I just hope sometime with in 5-10 years they have a reunion movie and if they do they better make Lor and Luke be married and have a child preferably a son since they both already have a daughter.

It was ok...I'm still disappointed that we didn't get a wedding, but yeah, it was okay.
I know I complained in another thread about the lack of a "proper" finale for this great show, but I must say last night's episode was pretty good. It was nice to see the whole cast together for the last time.
I especially liked the last scene in Luke's, the camera looking throught the window at Loerlai and Rory talking with Luke working in the background, just like the last shot from the pilot episode. A very nice touch.
Farewell Gilmore Girls.

yeah i agree it did kinda suck that Lor and Luke didn't get married but i kind of like to think that they did you know! but i knew that wasn't going to happen i mean if it was going to happen then it would have had Luke asking Lor to marry him or something! and Luke at the end awwww Lord when he said "well i just want to make you happy" i'd thought i'd start crying! :) that was so sweet and him doing all of that makeing the tent and staying up all night long to make it now thats love! and i'm so glad that he finally gave her that necklace even though i don't think it showed him actally giving it to her or not i don't know can't remeber! but anyway i'll miss gilmore girls but we'll always have the reruns to talk about so lets get started on those then!

Yeah after reading the post about Kelly Bishop's interview I was starting to get worried about the finale but it was good I was happy I cried and then screamed when Lor and Luke kissed... and then I cried again when they did the little pic slideshow thing of all the seasons
