The Thursday sitcom block might be like this now:

Thursday
8:00PM My Name is Earl
8:30PM 30 Rock
9:00PM The Office
9:30PM Scrubs

There is word that The Office will air for 24 half-hours and 6 hour episodes next season. I.T. Crowd will likely get 8:30 p.m. when 30 Rock goes on a 6 week break for mid-season.

And ER could be on the move actually. It could pop-up Wednesdays at 10. Or launch repeat free in January. If Wednesday happens, expect these changes:

Tuesdays
9:00PM Life
Or L&O: SVU can air here and have Life at 10

Wednesdays
10:00PM ER

Thursday
10:00PM Lipstick Jungle

OK, I gave two scenarios. Here is the third and final one probably:

NBC could be bold and move Heroes to Thursdays at 10, out of the comedies. Which would mean Lipstick Jungle would anchor Monday at 9pm followed by maybe Bionic Woman at 10, with Journeyman for mid-season. With everything else the same as scenario #2. This third scenario is a long shot I think.

Go with scenario #2, one I posted at 11:41pm ET as having the best shot now.

As long as CI runs on NBC as well, that should turn out fine. Some people don't get USA after all. I love CI and hope for a great season 7.

Heroes moving would be stupid...

I like Scenario #2 a lot better than the first one, which was very blah because nothing really changed(when your 4th, the status quo is not acceptable).

NEW YORK - May 14, 2007 -- NBC will enhance its current roster of critically acclaimed and creatively ambitious programs with a new 2007-08 primetime lineup that features five new dramas, one new comedy and a variety of fresh unscripted programs, complemented by a host of innovative programming moves, it was announced today at NBC's presentation to advertisers and the media at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

"Last year we promised a return to the NBC legacy of quality, and in terms of awards, buzz and critical acclaim, that's just what we delivered," said NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly. "We've got the class and next season we're ready to add some mass, with new shows that build on the creative accomplishments of last season and are as broad as they are good. Combine the energy of these new programs with the bulked-up strength of our existing NBC hits and you've got a lineup that's poised to take us to the next level."

"We've always been a company that's embraced new ideas and introduced innovations ahead of the pack," said Marc Graboff, President, NBC Universal Television, West Coast. "Today's advertisers want programs that excite viewers and command real passion both on our broadcast airwaves and in the digital/online realm, and that's what our new fall schedule is all about."

NBC's 2007-08 lineup features the new dramas "Journeyman" (Mondays, 10-11 p.m. ET), a romantic-mystery from the Emmy Award-winning producers of "The West Wing," concerning a San Francisco newspaper reporter (Kevin McKidd, "Rome") who inexplicably begins to travel through time and alter people's lives; and "Chuck" (Tuesdays, 9-10 p.m. ET), a comedic spy thriller about an unassuming computer geek who is unexpectedly catapulted into a new career as a government agent after spy secrets are mysteriously embedded into his brain.

Also new this fall is the drama "Bionic Woman" (Wednesdays, 9-10 p.m. ET), a re-imagination of the classic from David Eick ("Battlestar Galactica") and Jason Smilovic ("Kidnapped"). "Bionic Woman" stars Michelle Ryan ("EastEnders") as a young woman whose life is radically altered and empowered after a car crash. Additionally, "Life" (Wednesdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) features a complex police detective (Damian Lewis, "Band of Brothers") who's given a second chance on the force after serving years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

The new dramedy "Lipstick Jungle," from bestselling author Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City"), is set to debut in January 2008 on Sundays (10-11 p.m. ET). Created by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Helene, ("How I Met Your Mother"), the series involves the lives of three high-powered friends (Brooke Shields, "Suddenly Susan," Kim Raver, "24," and Lindsay Price, "Beverly Hills, 90210") who are determined to achieve their dreams and to do it on their own terms.

The latest new comedy from NBC is "The IT Crowd," based on the acclaimed British series that takes a behind-the-scenes peek at the misunderstood techies (Joel McHale, "The Soup," and Richard Ayoade, "The IT Crowd" -- U.K.) who toil in the Information Technology department of a large, impersonal corporation. "The IT Crowd" is scheduled to join the NBC schedule during the course of the 2007-08 season.

Among today's additional announcements, each representing a unique opportunity for NBC's clients to attach their messages to original and quality content that goes beyond the 30-second spot, are:

*NBC "bulks up" with 30 combined episodes of "Heroes" and "Heroes: Origins," an innovative new spin-off that each week will introduce a new character -- one of whom will be chosen by viewers through the "Heroes" website on NBC.com to become a cast regular the following season.

*The network has ordered 30 half-hours of the hit series "The Office," including five hour-long episodes, and also has increased the season order for "My Name Is Earl" to 25 episodes.

*Jerry Seinfeld, star of the classic NBC mega-hit "Seinfeld," returns to the network to create and star in 20 unique live-action comedy "minisodes" inspired by his experiences creating the upcoming DreamWorks animated feature film "Bee Movie," in theaters November 2. NBC Universal will also have the exclusive U.S. broadcast and cable network rights to the film, which features Seinfeld as the voice of Barry B. Benson, a disillusioned bee. Produced by Seinfeld and DreamWorks, the 20 comedy shorts will give viewers a glimpse at Seinfeld's behind-the-scenes antics during production of the movie. The "minisodes" will run on NBC's primetime schedule this Fall, as well as on NBC.com, on designated days before and after the release of the film.

*Series renewals include the Peabody Award-winning drama "Friday Night Lights," now shifting to Friday nights (10-11 p.m. ET); "Scrubs," also a Peabody winner, for a seventh season; and the venerable, Emmy-winning "Law & Order," for its historic 18th season (see separate NBCUMV.com release).

*NBC's acclaimed Thursday "Comedy Night Done Right" lineup will next year lead off with "My Name is Earl" at 8 p.m. (ET), which will be followed by "30 Rock" at 8:30 p.m., the Peabody Award-winning "The Office" at 9 p.m. and "Scrubs" at 9:30.

*New NBC series "Bionic Woman" and "Life" will be re-purposed on SCI FI Channel and USA Network, respectively, shortly after their original telecasts on NBC.

*NBC will kick-start the weekend on Fridays (8-9 p.m. ET) with "Game Night," a rotation of game shows that features "1 vs 100" (hosted by Bob Saget) for eight weeks, followed by six weeks of the new variety competition series "The Singing Bee" in the fall. The program is a competition that challenges contestants to accurately sing the lyrics to popular songs -- even when the band stops playing.

Also at today's presentation in New York, the network unveiled several new "NBC 360" digital initiatives that will help maintain the NBC Universal Television Group's leadership in the creation and execution of innovative digital opportunities across its multiple media platforms (see related NBCUMV.com releases).

Later in the fall, NBC plans to introduce the unscripted series, "World Moves," a talent competition program from executive producer Randy Jackson ("American Idol") that features dance teams from around the world auditioning for their shot to come to Los Angeles and compete for a global championship and an international touring contract.

After "Sunday Night Football" concludes its season in January 2008, the network will unveil a new regular line-up. After the return of "Dateline NBC" (7-8 p.m. ET) will be the 18th season premiere of "Law & Order" (8-9 p.m. ET), followed by the fourth season debut of "Medium" (9-10 p.m. ET) and the premiere of the sexy new dramedy "Lipstick Jungle" (10-11 p.m. ET).

2007-08 NEW SERIES DESCRIPTIONS

New Dramas

"JOURNEYMAN"-- From Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Kevin Falls ("The West Wing") and Emmy Award-winning director-producer Alex Graves ("The West Wing"), "Journeyman" is a romantic mystery-drama about Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd, "Rome"), a San Francisco newspaper reporter and family man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives. Along the way, he also must deal with the difficulties and strife at work and home brought on by his sudden disappearances. However, his freewheeling travels through the decades reunite him with his long-lost fiance Livia (Moon Bloodgood, "Day Break") -- which complicates his present-day life with wife Katie (Gretchen Egolf, "Martial Law") and their son. Reed Diamond ("Homicide: Life on the Street") and Charles Henry Wyson ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button") also star. "Journeyman" is a production of 20th Century Fox Television. Falls is executive producer and writer; Graves is executive producer and director of the pilot.

"CHUCK" - From executive producer, Josh Schwartz ("The O.C.") and executive producer-director McG ("Charlie's Angels," "We Are Marshall") comes a one-hour, comedic spy thriller about Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") - a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. When Chuck opens an e-mail subliminally encoded with government secrets, he unwittingly downloads an entire server of sensitive data into his brain. Now, the fate of the world lies in the unlikely hands of a guy who works at Buy More. Instead of fighting computer viruses, he must fight assassins and international terrorists. With the government's most precious secrets in Chuck's head, Major John Casey (Adam Baldwin, "My Bodyguard") of the NSA assumes the responsibility of protecting him. His partner is the CIA's top agent (and Chuck's first date in years) Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strzechowski, "Gone"). They'll keep him safe by trading in his pocket protector for a bulletproof vest. Also starring are Joshua Gomez ("Without a Trace") as Chuck's best buddy Morgan and Sarah Lancaster ("What About Brian?") as Chuck's ever-supportive sister Ellie. Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak wrote "Chuck," which is produced by College Hill Pictures and Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television.

"BIONIC WOMAN" - Struggling as a bartender and surrogate mom to her teenage sister, Jaime Sommers (Michelle Ryan, "EastEnders") didn't think life could get much harder. But when a devastating car accident leaves her at death's door, Jaime's only hope for survival is a cutting-edge, top-secret technology that comes at a hefty price. With a whole new existence and a debt to re-pay, Jaime must figure out how to use her extraordinary abilities for good, while weighing the personal sacrifices she will have to make. Ultimately, it's Jaime's journey of self-discovery and inner strength that will help her embrace her new life as the Bionic Woman. Also starring are: Mae Whitman ("State of Grace") as Becca, Jaime's younger sister; Miguel Ferrer ("Crossing Jordan") as Jonas, the man who employs Jaime's boyfriend; Chris Bowers ("Rescue Me) as Will, Jaime's boyfriend, who performs the operation; Will Yun Lee ("Witchblade") as Jae, the specialized operations leader; and Molly Price ("Third Watch"), as Ruth, Jonas' second-in-command. "Bionic Woman" is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio and executive-produced by David Eick ("Battlestar Galactica"), Glen Morgan ("The X-Files"), Michael Dinner ("Kidnapped") -- who also directed the pilot -- and Jason Smilovic ("Lucky Number Slevin"). Laeta Kalogridis ("Birds of Prey") is also an executive producer on the pilot.

"LIFE" -- From Rand Ravich and Far Shariat, the executive producers of the feature film "The Astronaut's Wife," and David Semel, who directed the pilot of NBC's "Heroes," "Life" is a new drama about a detective who is given a second chance. Damian Lewis ("Band of Brothers") stars as complex, offbeat Detective Charlie Crews, who returns to the force after years in prison, thanks to close friend and attorney Constance Griffiths (Melissa Sagemiller, "Sleeper Cell"), after serving time for a crime he didn't commit. The cast also includes Sarah Shahi ("Rush Hour 3") as Charlie's skeptical, demanding partner, Robin Weigart (HBO's "Deadwood") as their hard-hitting lieutenant, and Adam Arkin ("Chicago Hope") as former cellmate Ted Early. "Life" is an NBC Universal Television Studio production. Rand Ravich is executive producer and writer; Far Shariat is executive producer; David Semel is executive producer and director on the pilot

"LIPSTICK JUNGLE" - Based on the best-selling novel by Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City"), this fun dramedy follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game. Nico (Kim Raver, "24"), editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, wants to replace her boss as CEO. Movie exec Wendy (Brooke Shields, "Suddenly Susan") finds even her most earnest efforts may not be enough to balance career and family. And free-spirited designer Victory (Lindsay Price, "Beverly Hills, 90210") longs to make her dreams come true, and maybe find Mr. Right along the way. Armed with humor and strength, these three modern New York women support one another through the triumphs and tears that are all part of making it big in the Big Apple. Written by executive producers DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler (both for "How I Met Your Mother," "Three Sisters") and based on the book by Bushnell, "Lipstick Jungle" is from NBC Universal Television Studio. The pilot is directed by Gary Winick ("13 Going on 30").

New Comedy Series

"THE IT CROWD" - Ever wonder what's up with those quirky techies who come to fix the office computer when no one's around? "The IT Crowd" is an offbeat series, based on the critically acclaimed British comedy, that offers a humorous behind-the-scenes peek at the people who truly keep the office humming. Roy (Joel McHale, "The Soup") and Moss (Richard Ayoade, "The IT Crowd" -- U.K.) are the misunderstood masters of their high-tech domain, but they lack the people skills to befriend anyone but each other. Their company's head is Denholm (Rocky Carrol, "Chicago Hope"), who wants the IT department to stay segregated and forever banished to the basement. Executive producers are Moses Port ("Just Shoot Me"), David Guarascio ("Just Shoot Me"), Joe Port (NBC's "The Office"), Joe Wiseman ("The Office"), Graham Linehan ("The IT Crowd" -- UK) and Steve Tao ("Red Doors"). Gail Mancuso ("Scrubs," "30 Rock") directed the pilot. "The IT Crowd" is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio.

New Alternative Series

"THE SINGING BEE" - "The Singing Bee" is a variety-competition show that challenges contestants to accurately sing the lyrics to popular songs -- even when the band stops playing. In this karaoke showdown, there's no middle ground for partially correct answers -- contestants must be perfect or they're out. Family-friendly, broad in appeal and conducive to playing (and singing) along at home, "The Singing Bee" features popular, recognizable music that inspires hilarious wrong answers and amazing performances by those rare contestants who somehow manage to get every word right. "The Singing Bee" is produced by the Gurin Company and Juma Entertainment, LLC. The executive producers are Phil Gurin (NBC's "Miss Universe" franchise) and Robert C. Horowitz ("Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials Top 40 Countdown").

"WORLD MOVES" -- From executive producer Randy Jackson ("American Idol") and the creators of the World Hip Hop Championship comes one of the most visual and captivating performance competition shows ever to hit TV. Thousands of dance teams from around the world will audition for their shot to come to Los Angeles and compete for a global championship and an international touring contract. The live television event features young teams of five to seven members demonstrating their athleticism, creativity and innovative choreography in a presentation that highlights both the competition and the personal drama unfolding within each team. Viewers from across the globe will vote via the Internet, by text message, or by phone to eliminate one team each week. Ultimately, it's not just about winning a competition; "World Moves" involves stories that change lives and bring the world together. From Warner Horizon Television, the series is executive-produced by Jackson ("American Idol," Dream Merchant 21 Entertainment), Rob Lee (President, Bayonne Entertainment, "Blow Out," "House of Carters"), Howard Schwartz ("Hip Hop International, World Hip Hop Championship), Karen Schwartz (Hip Hop International, World Hip Hop Championship) and Harriet Sternberg (Dream Merchant 21 Entertainment).

Friday Night Lights is on Friday at 10? That's insane. First of all, that show has to be on earlier - it's more of an 8:00 show than 10. But since NBC is going with all reality/game shows at 8, there goes that. But Friday night? No one watches TV. The ratings were bad this season for it, it's only going to get worse on Fridays. Way to kill the show, NBC.

I think they should have waited until midseason and put it on Sundays at 7 or 8 after football season.

As for the new shows, the only drama that looks interesting is Chuck (and maybe Life). And I'll probably watch The IT Crowd (Joel McHale!).

Veterans Crossing Jordan and The Apprentice are not likely to return.

They should switch Las Vegas and FNL. I had that in my prediction preview. NBC Wednesday will bomb badly. Bionic Woman anchoring the night is very risky. NBC should have moved ER to Wednesdays...that would have been a safer risk. Either Journeyman or Chuck will probably be the only new drama to last the season at least.

This schedule sucks. :barf:

Bionic Woman will die, bye bye FNL(a family show at 10 on Friday?). Lipstick Jungle being held til JANUARY? Supposedly their most promising show? and the rest of the Sunday lineup post-Football is a low-rated mess. This schedule could have been SO much better.

I shouldn't be surprised...

Your schedule with ER on Wednesday was way better than this...but then again, Scheduling has been a major problem for NBC in the last few years I would say...

FNL and Las Vegas should definitly switch. Medium Sould have stayed on Wed 10pm or 9 with ER. Won't say everything as it would basically change everything but Monday and Comedies

Hopefully The Apprentice will air in the summer, it doesn't deserve a slot during the regular season.

I'll be watching Journeyman and Chuck... and Lipstick Jungle in January(really disappointed this was delayed). I think it's going to have an upill battle though with 2 aging shows before it, and airing likely against WAT and Brothers and Sisters.

As far as Wednesday goes, definite disaster. Bionic Woman has no chance against Criminal Minds, likely Private Practice, and FOX's much hyped new sitcoms. I heard the pilot sucked too, so I'm not totally sure why this is on the Fall schedule.

I haven't heard a production order like that for a sitcom since the late 60s

8 Simple Rules, According to Jim, My Wife & Kids a few seasons back had close to 30 or more. As for dramas, 90210 and Melrose usually always had 30+ episodes a season.

the only show i care about is 30 Rock and i like that it's on at 8:30. now it doesn't have to face off against Grey's Anatomy and CSI. good move. i hope they advertise it a lot during the summer so it can get better ratings.

And 5 of the Office eps are one-hour so it's like having 35 episodes! 30 episodes of Heroes/Heroes: Origins too!

From what I understand...it is 25 actual episodes of The Office, of which 5 of those will be 1-hour shows...so that is how they come up with 30 (half-hour) episodes.

None of the new shows look that interesting from the descriptions but I'll give the pilots a look in July.

However I'm glad to see FNL returning, although it's as close to a death slot as it can be. I also watch Heroes and the entire Thursday night comedy lineup

I think the ratings are usually fairly similar, they need "The Office" to anchor an hour and I think it makes more sense at 9pm, but I'm worried it might get clobbered by "CSI" and "Grey's"

NBC Night By Night Analysis:

MONDAY
8-9 p.m. "Deal or No Deal"
9-10 p.m. "Heroes"
10-11 p.m. "JOURNEYMAN"

Howie's back and that's good enough for me. "Heroes" looks strong again this year and won't be challenged. However, I don't think "Journeyman" will last very long here.

TUESDAY
8-9 p.m. "The Biggest Loser"
9-10 p.m. "CHUCK"
10-11 p.m. "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"

NBC is being a little prophetic here. "Chuck" not only follows "The Biggest Loser", it will be the biggest loser! Those of you who have a pool going for the first series to be cancelled might want to take note.

WEDNESDAY
8-9 p.m. "Deal or No Deal"
9-10 p.m. "BIONIC WOMAN"
10-11 p.m. "LIFE"

"The Bionic Woman"? Is this the best they could do on Wed. nights? What's next? "Knight Rider"? "The A-Team"? I pity the fool who came up with this idea!

THURSDAY
8-8:30 p.m. "My Name Is Earl"
8:30-9 p.m. "30 Rock"
9-9:30 p.m. "The Office"
9:30-10 p.m. "Scrubs"
10-11 p.m. "ER"

NBC's strongest night from top to bottom. Nice to see they brought "Scrubs" back in Sept. instead of relegating it to mid-season. If this is the last season, it deserves to go out on a high note, and with more respect from its bosses.

FRIDAY
8-9 p.m. "1 vs 100"/"THE SINGING BEE"
9-10 p.m. "Las Vegas"
10-11 p.m. "Friday Night Lights"

"The Singing Bee" reminds me of the early days of SNL when John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd would sing and dance around in bee costumes before establishing themselves as the Blues Brothers. I'd like to see something like that happen on this new show. It might be just enough to save it from an early death.

SATURDAY
8-9 p.m. "Dateline NBC"
9-11 p.m. Drama Series Encores

Who cares? I'll be watching hockey!

SUNDAY (Fall 2007)
7-8 p.m. "Football Night in America"
8-11 p.m. "NBC Sunday Night Football"

SUNDAY (January 2008)
7-8 p.m. "Dateline NBC"
8-9 p.m. "Law & Order"
9-10 p.m. "Medium"
10-11 p.m. "LIPSTICK JUNGLE"

Great, NBC brought back football. I hope they get hockey back too!

Sunday nights represent NBC's biggest mistake. "Medium" would probably do better on another night, except Thursdays. "The Lipstick Jungle" looks like it will be one of the hottest new series of the year. So why are they holding it back until Jan. at the earliest? That doesn't make sense to me! When it does come on, it will face a huge challenge from ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" to capture the heavily-female post-"Housewives" audience, where ABC will have had a head start for about 5 months. That's not good programming strategy!

Last May, if you remember, the fall schedule met with so much pessimism that NBC completely rearranged it one week later. It looks like this season, they might want to try it again, only they'll probably come up with something worse! Just wait and see!

I think the ratings are usually fairly similar, they need "The Office" to anchor an hour and I think it makes more sense at 9pm, but I'm worried it might get clobbered by "CSI" and "Grey's"
i think The Office should do ok, it'll be in it's 4th season next year so it already has an established fanbase, whereas 30 Rock does not, and it definitley won't be establishing it at 9:00 or 9:30...

Yay for CBS Wednesday! Less competition means better numbers for my dramas. And these new shows don't sound very interesting. A cop who's been in prison? Yeah, that's real life...

Oh well, hell. If Pav is right and CSI:NY leaves Wednesday, then I don't care what happens to Life. I still think it sounds like a bad 80s drama, but now I don't care if it stays or goes. Leave CSI:NY with Criminal Minds, dammit.

Journeyman is the only new show that looks interesting to me. Why remake The Bionic Woman? Makes no sense and having 2 straight new shows on Wednesday spells disaster. Other then Heroe's and SVU there isn't much returning shows that are any good. L&O just looks old anymore. The only reason it's back is because the Producer wants it to past Gunsmoke as the longest running drama. I doubt it will happen. And notice all the unscript shows at the 8:00 hour.

the only show i care about is 30 Rock and i like that it's on at 8:30. now it doesn't have to face off against Grey's Anatomy and CSI. good move. i hope they advertise it a lot during the summer so it can get better ratings.
WAIT thats a lie. i like Deal or No Deal and will watch that! also i think i'm gonna try and get into The Office and Scrubs this year, even though it's Scrubs' last.

You definately should get into The Office....If your interested, Universal is releasing a Seasons 1 and 2~double pack next month, and it`s going to be cheaper than the 2 sold seperately.

I'm going to start watching 30 Rock this fall. It seems like a great show.

One-hour Episodes of "My Name Is Earl" (8-9 p.m. ET) and "The Office" (9-10 p.m. ET) Premiere on Thursday, September 27

BURBANK July 16, 2007 NBC launches its season premieres the week of September 24. The network will adjust its schedule by moving the new comedic spy thriller "Chuck" to Mondays (8-9 p.m. ET) followed by switching the popular Monday version of "Deal or No Deal" to Fridays (8-9 p.m. ET), and shifting "Friday Night Lights" to an earlier new time of 9-10 p.m. (ET) and " Las Vegas" to 10-11 p.m. (ET).

In addition, NBC will expand "The Biggest Loser" to 90 minutes on Tuesdays (8-9:30 p.m. ET) and will have a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Summer's newest hit, "The Singing Bee" (which premiered earlier this month), will have its Fall premiere on Tuesday, September 25 (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

NBC's premiere week will also feature one-hour episodes each of "My Name Is Earl" (8-9 p.m. ET) and "The Office" (9-10 p.m. ET) on Thursday, September 27 and a two-hour episode premiere of "Las Vegas" on Friday, September 28 (9-11 p.m. ET).

The announcements were made by Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, and Marc Graboff, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

"We can't wait for the new season to begin and we believe that these programming changes will allow for a powerhouse Monday night with 'Chuck,' 'Heroes' and 'Journeyman,'" said Silverman. "On Tuesdays, the 90-minute 'The Biggest Loser' has always performed well and will fit perfectly with our new summer hit 'The Singing Bee.' On Fridays, we can hammock 'Friday Night Lights' between two proven hits 'Deal or No Deal' and 'Las Vegas,' with new cast member Tom Selleck."

Said Graboff: "We like that we can start our season off strong with hour-long episodes of such comedy favorites as 'Earl' and 'The Office.' Coupled with the dynamo of 'Sunday Night Football,' we will have a very potent fall lineup and these schedule adjustments will only make us stronger."

All of NBC's primetime entertainment series will bow during the week of September 24 with the exception of "The Biggest Loser" (Tuesday, September 11), "30 Rock" (Thursday, October 4), "Friday Night Lights" (Friday, October 5) and "Scrubs" (Thursday, October 25).
In addition, "Deal or No Deal" will premiere on Monday, September 17 (8-9 p.m. ET) -- one final time in its previously announced day and time before moving to Fridays (8-9 p.m. ET) on September 28.

Likewise, "Friday Night Lights" was previously scheduled for Fridays (10-11 p.m. ET) and "Las Vegas" (9-10 p.m. ET) on the same night before swapping time periods.

On September 24, NBC tees up its new season on Mondays (8-9 p.m. ET) with "Chuck," a new hour-long series from executive producer Josh Schwartz ("The O.C.") and executive producer-director McG ("Charlie's Angels," "We Are Marshall"), who deliver a comedic spy thriller about Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi, "Less Than Perfect") -- a computer geek who is catapulted into a new career as the government's most vital secret agent. Then comes the much-anticipated second-season debut of "Heroes" (9-10 p.m. ET) as the epic ensemble drama centers on several ordinary people who possess extraordinary abilities.

Monday, September 24 will also serve as the premiere of the new drama "Journeyman" (10-11 p.m. ET). From Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Kevin Falls ("The West Wing") and Emmy Award-winning director-producer Alex Graves ("The West Wing"), "Journeyman" is a romantic mystery-drama about Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd, "Rome"), a San Francisco newspaper reporter and family man who inexplicably begins to travel through time and change people's lives.

Tuesdays mark the beginning of a new season of "The Biggest Loser" (8-10 p.m. ET) starting September 11 as the popular competitive weight-loss series boasts a few new twists. "The Singing Bee," introduced earlier this month, is hosted by Joey Fatone (*NSYNC) as it challenges contestants to not only sing a song but compels them to sing the words correctly. The variety-competition series will join the fall lineup on September 25.

The perennial favorite "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m.) jump-starts Wednesdays beginning September 25 with host Howie Mandel, whose provocative series title question: "Deal or no deal?" has become a national catchphrase. The new "Bionic Woman" (9-10 p.m. ET) stars Michelle Ryan ("EastEnders") as a young woman whose life is radically altered and empowered after a car crash as it debuts on September 25. Also on the same night, the new drama "Life" (10-11 p.m. ET) features a complex police detective (Damian Lewis, "Band of Brothers") who's given a second chance on the force after serving years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

"My Name Is Earl" (8-9 p.m. ET) and the Emmy Award-winning "The Office" (9-10 p.m. ET) will break out of the gate in a big way on Thursday, September 27 as each premieres with an hour-long episode. The 14th season debut of "ER" follows (10-11 p.m. ET).

The two-hour premiere of "Las Vegas" (9-11 p.m. ET) will follow the new Friday-night "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m. ET) on September 28.

As it did during last fall, "Football Night in America" (7-8 p.m. ET) and "Sunday Night Football" (8-11 p.m. ET) will dominate on autumn Sundays.

A calendar of NBC's Fall 2007-08 series premieres follows. New series are capitalized (except for "ER") and all times are ET:

I've heard that NBC has shut down production on Heroes. They were in the middle of shooting Episodes 13 and 14. They were asked to reshoot the ending to Episode 11 (which ends the "Generations" volume) to be a season-ender.

Uuuum yeah...There is a strike going on. A bunch of shows will probably be shut down.

It also says the end of the "Generations" volume. "Origins" was originally supposed to be the next volume of the series...Until they decided to make that a 6 episode Spinoff show. I guess only time will tell what happens now.

Yes, I am well aware of that. I don't like but I know it.

I'm afraid it will spread to other shows.

I was just a little surprised they are doing this BEFORE the strike actually happens. The fact that they are making 11 the finale makes me think they expect a very long strike(as in the rest of the season). Origins was cancelled.

Yeah, it sucks. I was wondering if maybe some of the bigger budget shows would pay some of their writers to stay through the end of the season, LOL. It will definitely spread to other shows...I just hope that when the strike is all said and done, the writers go back to exactly where they left off on their shows.

I'm thinking maybe "Origins" should just be part of Heroes' 2nd season episodes. It doesn't make sense to do a 6 hour "Spinoff." And why does everyone feel the need to Spinoff their shows now? A lot of the time the original shows suffer a little (*ahem* Grey's Anatomy). I think it's outrageous that they would even think to do a Heroes Spinoff, being as how they just got off their very first season. And now The Office is even thinking about a Spinoff show.

I agree. Although, Grey's Anatomy did spinoff the second most popular new show this fall. But, I could care less, seeing how I don't watch either show-LOL.

I can't believe how badly Heroes has dropped this season. Wasn't it averaging about 14 million last season? Now it's down to 10 million. To me, Heroes is a show that you could definitely Tivo or DVR. I watched it a bit last season, but I haven't watched it once this season.

Heroes is down about 2 million. And yes, Tivo/DVR users play a big role in that, much like LOST's ratings after their 1st season.

Grey's Anatomy was the 2nd most watched scripted show last year...It's not anymore. That's another one with ratings declines. Recently, Desperate Housewives has even been doing better than Grey's. CSI is still on top though....That is until American Idol wreaks havoc on all their ass's! ;)

TUESDAY, JANUARY 1

119TH TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE (11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)

NBC's live, high-definition coverage of the "119th Tournament of Roses Parade" from Pasadena, California will feature celebrated chef Emeril Lagasse as the Grand Marshal for this year's parade. With a 2008 theme of "Passport to the World's Celebrations," the parade will feature all the lavish floral floats, spectacular marching bands and high-stepping equestrian teams that have made the New Year's Day event so popular. This year's Rose Queen and her court will also appear, along with special guests on spectacular floats, all paying tribute to festivities from around the globe. NBC has been broadcasting the New Year's Day parade for 81 years, beginning on radio in 1927 and then televising the event beginning in 1954. Arthur Forrest is the executive producer/director, Carol Kahl is the supervising producer and Stephanie Prescott is the coordinating producer for NBC Entertainment. Tom Patino is the line producer.

It's First Appearances Week on Jay Leno. They are showing the first time Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Jennifer Aniston and Johnny Depp were on The Tonight Show.

I don't watch late night talk shows much, but I think this is a neat idea. I wonder what all the stars were promoting? I can't remember the years of all their movies, but Tom Hanks still had the curly hair - perhaps "Turner & Hooch?" Jennifer Aniston could be on for "Picture Perfect," or "Office Space," or even simply "Friends." Matt Damon for "All The Pretty Horses," "The Legend of Bagger Vance" or maybe "Finding Forrester." It should be interesting to look back on these.

Schedule:
Mo 11/26: Tom Hanks, Brian Ross, Delbert McClinton (R 6/29/92)
Tu 11/27: Julia Roberts, Pierce Brosnan, Geechy Guy (R 12/16/93)
We 11/28: Matt Damon, Selma Blair, Third Eye Blind (R 1/26/00)
Th 11/29: Jennifer Aniston, Peter Jacobsen, Anita Baker and James Ingram (R 6/7/95)
Fr 11/30: Johnny Depp, David Hasselhoff, George Wallace (R 4/13/95)

It doesn't make any sense to air USA's repeats of Criminal Intent. NBC would be better off airing encore episodes of Battlestar Galactica in January.

Of all the shows going off the air for however long, I'm going to miss ER the most. I may go into a depression. :(

There hasn't been ANY new dramas that I've really loved this Fall (and I have sampled quite a few). I hope "Lipstick Jungle" will be the new drama I look forward to watching every week. All three of those women are great. I hope it's good. If not, then aside from my old favorites, this TV season has pretty much sucked, IMO.

'KNIGHT RIDER' REVS UP TO RETURN TO NBC FOR SPECIAL TWO-HOUR MOVIE EVENT ON FEBRUARY 17 AS NEW KITT CAR IS REVEALED

"Knight Rider" Cast Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Bruce Davison Participate at the Unveiling Event Showcasing the Customized KITT Ford Mustang to Be Featured in Movie

Dave Bartis ("Heist," "The O.C.") and Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "The Bourne Identity") to Serve as Executive Producers; David Hasselhoff, the Star of the Original "Knight Rider" Series, Appears as a Special Guest Star in His Original Role as Michael Knight

NBC Also Forms Partnership with Ford Motor Company That Provides for Unique Content Opportunity

BURBANK - December 12, 2007 - As "Knight Rider" -- NBC's iconic 1980s television classic that became a runaway success, comes roaring back to life on the network with an updated sequel that will air as a two-hour movie event on Sunday, February 17 (9-11 p.m. ET) -- NBC unveiled the new customized KITT Ford Mustang to be featured in the series in a press event held at NBC's Burbank Studios today.

The movie stars Justin Bruening ("Cold Case," "All My Children"), Deanna Russo ("NCIS," "The Young and the Restless"), Sydney Tamiia Poitier ("Veronica Mars," "Grindhouse") and Bruce Davison ("Breach," "Close to Home"). In addition, David Hasselhoff (NBC's "America's Got Talent") -- who starred in the popular lead role as Michael Knight for four seasons during the original series -- returns as the same character in a special guest-star appearance. Will Arnett (NBC's "30 Rock," "Blades of Glory") will provide the voice of KITT.

Dave Bartis ("Heist," "The O.C.") and Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "The Bourne Identity") serve as executive producers. NBC also has an arrangement with Ford Motor Company that provides for a unique content opportunity that makes the Ford Mustang one of the stars of the movie.

The three cars to be employed in the series include the KITT Hero -- a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR that is playing the part of the everyday Hero car with 540 horsepower; the KITT Attack -- a super high-speed version of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR Hero car that transforms into Attack mode with the help of air-ride technology and specialized body parts -- and a KITT Remote, which is a driverless Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR version of the Hero vehicle.

As the original story resumes, the new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) is absolutely the coolest car ever created: its supercomputer capable of hacking almost any system; its weapons systems efficient; and its body -- thanks to its creator's work and nanotechnology -- is capable of actually shifting shape and color. Plus, its artificial intelligence makes it the ideal crime-fighting partner: logical, precise and possessing infinite knowledge. It is the ultimate car -- and someone will be willing to do anything to obtain it.

Sarah Graiman is a 24-year old Ph.D candidate at Stanford University, following in her genius father Charles' (Davison) footsteps. But when men attempt to abduct her, Sarah receives a mysterious call from KITT warning her that he's a creation of Charles, who also invented the first KITT 25 years ago -- and that her father is in serious danger.

Sarah and KITT track down her best friend from childhood, Mike Tracer (Bruening), a 23-year-old ex-Army Ranger, whom Sarah hasn't seen since he left home at 18. Having served in Iraq, Mike is now jaded and lost and initially resistant. Eventually he agrees to help Sarah and the two set out to discover who's behind the attempt to procure KITT and find Charles. Along the way, Carrie Rivai (Poitier) plays the agile yet tough FBI agent who has a long-standing friendship with Charles and Sarah. Due to those ties, she is brought into the mix to help in the search.

David Andron is supervising producer and writer. Steve Shill ("Dexter," "The Tudors"), also a co-executive producer, directs the two-hour movie from Universal Media Studios and Dutch Oven Productions.

Does anyone else like "Clash of the Choirs?" Didn't think I'd like it, but gave it a try and it's enjoyable. They should have stretched it out over 4 weeks instead of 4 nights though, IMO.

Wikipedia already has a "Fall 2008" schedule for NBC up. I'm assuming it's some spoof or something.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBC

For all we know (and they know), the strike could still be going in the fall, lol. Also it lists Scrubs, but 07-08 was supposed to be its final season.
