I enjoyed it, even though it was very slowmoving at times. We learned a lot more than we knew about before. It's good to hear we are getting more releases of Whose Line, plus Family Matters, Growing Pains, Perfect Sttrangers, and Fresh Prince are being evaluated for more releases. It was disappointing to hear that we are unlikely to get another season of Murphy Brown, because sales were low and music costs ae high. If only people would go out and buy a copy . . . also there are no plans for Step by Step.

EVERYTHING won't be released because everything wasn't good to begin with. Often shows are on the air because they do indeed HAVE to fill the airwaves with original programming. It's only now on tv-dvd do we get to see where the rubber meets the road.

It is gratifying to see your favorite show's (Rockford, AITF, Bewitched, Brady's, A-Team) all live on while trash (opinion!!) like Partridge and Step by Step stuggle and die.

I hope they do consider Eight Is Enough very seriously! It's such an institution and still referenced in shows today.

The only other notable mention for me is Perfect Strangers.

Pac-Man the cartoon sounds good but whether I'd buy a copy is another question. Perhaps though...

I'm a little surprised that WB kept indicating they were considering a "first season" of Perfect Strangers when that would be only 6 shows. They really should consider a combined first/second season, I think that would do even better.

I have to agree about Murphy Brown, although I can't say that I'm surprised. It's such a shame. I'm glad to hear they're considering Eight is Enough! I hope they eventually get around to doing more Growing Pains, as I'd def. buy those.

I was frustrated that no one had a question about "The FBI" which is the one Warner title I want to see most on DVD (and since Season 1 is the best of the run, that's even a title I could live with being one and done!).

One thing that I believe I'd like to see on DVD is "Scarecrow and Mrs. King." I saw one 1986 episode from TV Land's "Warner Bros. 50 Yrs. Marathon," and I believe that that series might be a good one.

Great show! I remember watching it in the early 80s with my mum and proudly thinking how cool it was that we both loved the same show... haha.

Since Growing Pains is currently airing nowhere, and Murpy Brown is only airing 3 times a week on NAN, I already knew what WB"s response to tohse shows would be.

I wonder if WB would come out better by purchasing the rights to Motown's music for the entire series instead of attempting to do it season-by-season? That way, they could get most of the overhead out of the way immediately and release new sets. I'm guessing that Motown wouldn't charge as much if it were done that way, but I am only guessing.

You're right. Since motown music is usually very cheap, i can't see it being extrememly expensive, even though there were around 30 songs in the second season containing the music.

Plus, sales have to be up for a second season release. If you think about it, season 1 was rleased onthe same day as 6 other shows, and sales were low for all 6 shows. If they released the second season on its own day, plus since the show has had to have gained more of a fan base, sales should be up. Just whatever they have to do for a second season is fine with me. We probably will see another release sometime this lifetime, probably within the next 3 years.

Even if we (by any stretch of the imagination) get the second season, there will probably be another stall between a second and third season. That's why I wish they would license the catalog to an entity like TimeLife and have them release the entire series in two sets- Volume 1 (Seasons one through five) and Volume 2 (the remaining seasons).

The only titles I was interested in hearing from at Warner were Murphy and Living Single, and both of those seem obsolete now.

I found the whole chat to be rather depressing. There were a couple of hopeful things in there (Perfect Strangers, Family Matters) but for the most part it seemed very negative to me. With that said, I'm glad that WB are talking to us and being honest with us, it's just that most of the shows I want to come out from them they said there are no plans for.

It's good to know they haven't abandoned "Fresh Prince". I'm a little surprised it's music rights that's holding the series up, though.

I wish (and maybe they do, lol) the other companies would talk to us online about what's going on. I just wish they would listen to us a little more. It's like television to us is special. We all have our favorite shows and actors, but to the companies, television is just a business. And bottom line, they don't care about us. I'm just curous, but what makes you think we'll see a release in the next 3 years? Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for you to be right, but I just don't see any evidence for it at the moment.

I know I have bought a new one a few months ago because my discs were badly scratched. After awhile, Wb is going to have made all the money they wanted from the set. By making us wait this long for a second season, when it is finally released, everyone will go out an buy it, if you can understand my thinking

Warner showed what a worthless company they are. They really don't care at all about any shows pre-1990. So, it looks like we'll never see:

I never thought I could find a company more worthless than Fox but at least they gave us the Irwin Allen shows and now they've licensed out some 4 Star shows to VCI. Warner won't release and won't license either. They are the absolute worst. Murphy Brown is the only show they own from the last 15 years I would buy but at least I have 99% of the series recorded off the network so I'm not that broken up about it. And Scarecrow is great also but I taped those as well.

Interesting theory. I guess you should never give up hope, b/c you never know when the powers that be will change their minds. In the meantime, I'm glad I'm getting ahold of some later season episodes from another fan. I'm sure people are buying it, I just wish there'd be an "upsurge" like they talked about so they'll re-consider.

Two Thumbs Up For First Look Studio's For Really Being The First STUDIO To Release Two Seasons DVD'S At The Same Time Same Date.(THE COSBY SHOW S-3 & 4) I Don't Think Any Other Studio Done This Before, Unless You Want To Count The Studios That Release 2 Season Togather Because The First Season Had Only 6 Episodes (dallas Season 1), And Release The 2nd To Make A Complete Set.
If Only The Rest Of The Studio's Who Follow And Give Us 2 Season At A Time.
It Doesn't Have To Be A Set Togather.as Long As The 2 Season Come Out On The Same Day, That Would Be Great. & I Really Don't Think That Fans Would Complain As Much

The two Warner shows I am most interested in: Mama's Family and Knots Landing don't look too good. :(
