Yes, Spenc has fallen for Carrie.

What Spenc did was call Doug and tell him to go and check the apartment in Manhatten because Carrie didn't give up the apartment. That is why at the end you saw Doug spying on Carrie walking into the Manhattan apartment.

Spence is the typical dweeb.

If a woman so much as smiles at him he is in love.

He felt a connection to Carrie

Carrie touched him fondly...and he got the wrong signal.

But the fact it is his close friend's wife and he would sabotoge the marriage makes him more creepy..
