I have always enjoyed Unsolved Mysteries; I've been watching it since I was quite young. Imagine my surprise when I came across this message board today while searching for information on a case I had seen profiled on the show!
I often turn to the Internet these days to see if the cases have been solved, since Unsolved Mysteries seems to have trouble with its updates. Take the Bobbi Parker case, for example. I saw the segment on two separate episodes, and only one was updated (Incidentally, I always knew she was still alive and with that Randolph Dial character. When I heard the news that a woman had been found with a convict more than ten years after they disappeared, I immediately thought of Bobbi Parker and Randolph Dial!)
My husband is British and had never seen or even heard of the show until he moved to the States ... he doesn't seem to get it and sometimes teases me for watching it. But I have tons of childhood memories of being scared out of my wits by the ghost and UFO/alien and psycho killer segments. And the creepy music and Robert Stack lurking around in dark alleys in that trench coat just scared the daylights out of me.
Anyway, I'm glad I found this place! I hope that I can be a welcome and somewhat useful contributor. :)
