both are great fighters. Too bad this all has to end I loved the way they were talking s*it to each other days before the fight. Mayweather did a good job and he's planing to retire but he said if the fans wanted a rematch with del la hoya he said he would really consider it. I know i'd want to see that.

I would have liked to see that match. But spending 60 bucks just to see a fight is crazy.

It'll be on HBO next Saturday.

It was a decent fight but there was not as much action as I would have liked. The fight at the bar I was at had more action. Floyd is not retiring, these two will probably go at it again. I cannot see Floyd turning down big money for a rematch or perhaps a fight with Sugar Shane. After watching the Golden Boy last night I cannot see him beating Floyd. I thought moving up in weight would slow Floyd down but his quickness was a big factor. De La Hoya was the aggressor but he could not land many clean blows. A good fight nonetheless.

What hurt De La Hoya was his lack of commitment to being a fighter. You just can't pop up and say "Hey, I want to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr" after a year off.If he wants to be a businessman, so be it. But he can't have it both ways. That Sugar Ray Leonard stuff is going to get him killed.

FLoyd fought an incredibly stratigic fight but he really did not need to muster up any offense.
Dela Hoya had some flurries but nothing connected.
What I can't believe is that 1 judge swung 6 votes different than the other 2 and gave the match to Dela Hoya convincingly (what the hell was he watching). Boxing will never get over the corrupt stereotype with crappy judging like that.

I didn't order the ppv, but from what I've read about it, it really doesn't sound like I missed all that much. In the pre-fight pictures, the two didn't even look like they had been in a fight. I definitely wasn't going to spend $60.00 on something that I could watch for free two weeks later. I picked Mayweather to win, but I was really hoping De La Hoya would pull it off. Mayweather is a pompous jackass, and I can't wait until the day that he gets his butt kicked.
