(The Ottawa Senators won the Eastern Conference Semifinals 4 games to 1 by beating the NJ Devils 3-2.)

(Ralph is walking around the apartment.)

Ralph: "Boy, this burns me up. The Devils deserved better than this Alice. They lost to the Senators. I can't believe this. I knew that either the Rangers or the Devils were going to the Stanley Cup. So, I knew one team was going to lose."

Alice: "Ralph, like you just said, you still have the Rangers. Why don't you look on the bright side more often?"

Ralph: 'What's there to look at? The Devils lost. I think that the Rangers are going to lose tomorrow too. It's just a crying shame Alice. At one time, there was all three local hockey teams in the playoffs. Now, there is one. It all came too soon."

Alice: "Ralph, there is always next year and the year after. I think that one of your teams will win it and if they don't, all three of them are Cup winners in this house."

Ralph: "Big deal!"

(Ed comes down.)

Ed: "Ralph, the funeral is tomorrow. The Devils lost and now the funeral part will be them emptying out their lockers."

Ralph: "Why don't you shut up Norton? Monday, it will be the worst. I will have to deal with that Joe Fenstablau. He's a real bum."

Ed: "Why don't you say to them that the game was cancelled and the TV channel accidentally ran an old game in it's place."

(Ralph gives Ed a funny look.)

Ralph (yells): "WHY DON'T YOU STOP?"

Ed: "It's not my fault. It's not my fault that Ottawa was the better team."

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage.)

Jackie: "As usual, the Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!"
