When did Jackie get his face lift? Was it after the "Jackie & Julie" TV special or after Smokey and the Bandit? I always thought he looked so different.

It was in 1977, after finishing work on Smokey & The Bandit (which, in production, followed Mr. Billion). The first project he did after his facelift was the 1977 Honeymooners Christmas Special. (The special he did with Julie Andrews was in 1974.)

Whoa I never knew that...didn't really think he was the type of man to have a face lift. interesting.

He just seemed so different looking...the face lift really changed the shape of his face, and his hair became a combover, and it looks like dentures affected the way he spoke somewhat. Maybe it's just age and years of hard living, but he looked really old, really fast.

^ Agree! Drinking+Smoking aged most of those big time men really fast from Jackie, Art Carney, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr even Sinatra. They lived hard and fast and aged hard and fast. Hell, look at Lindsay Lohan "Miss Party" IMO she looks far older than 20.
I often wondered if Jackie wore a "piece" when he got a little older. Some pictures it looks like he may have. Not that its uncommon.

Up to the time of his face lift, he really showed the effects of his years of hard living, with really heavy eyelids and an overall droopy, saggy face. Take a look at one of the stills from Mr. Billion to see what I mean. But the face lift surely altered the contours of his visage, agreed.

I wonder if anyone on this list can find a photo of Jackie right before the facelift, then right after to offer up a comparison? Mr. Billion then the Honeymooners Christmas special?

you can see he dyed his hair for some of the later movie roles (ie:The Toy, Sting 2). He very well might have worn a hairpiece also.
